    Yes, I kept eating moderate amounts of gluten for both the blood tests and the biopsy. It looks like I'm going to be stuck with the IBS title. I just don't understand why I feel tired and nauseated all the time - I thought those weren't supposed to be symptoms of IBS. Anyways, thanks for all your help!

    Well, it looks like I don't have Celiac Disease. I haven't been officially told yet, but I picked up my own biopsy results from the hospital lab because the nurse in charge of the results at my doctor's office is on vacation until Wednesday. Anyways, I was wondering what else could cause the IgG antibody to be high? Are there any other diseases or conditions...

    I just got back from my endoscopy and I am surprisingly alert! I thought that I was going to be dead tired the rest of the day. The procedure wasn't too bad, I don't really remember too much.     I've had blood work done. IgA was 4 (negative) and IgG was 25 (weak positive) - both with a reference range of < 20 units. My doctor still strongly believes it is celiac disease based on my symptoms, that's why he wants to do a biopsy to find out for sure.     Hmmm... I was thinking of calling my general practitioner, but I've had so many appointments over the past couple of months - I don't want them to think I'm a hypochondriac (sp?). I thought I just may be getting some sort of cold, but who knows anymore! Maybe a quick call wouldn't hurt. Better to be safe than sorry!

Does anyone know if it is ok to take Imodium or Lomotil the night before (as long as it is before that 12 hour time frame)?     Well, my blood tests finally came back. Here are the results: GLIADIN ANTIBODIES IGA = 4 GLIADIN ANTIBODIES IGG = 25 REFERENCE RANGE FOR BOTH < 20 UNITS So basically, the IgA showed up negative while the IgG showed up as a weak positive.     Ok, I posted a question yesterday about my confusing test results. I finally called the Dr's. office and they said that the complete results were not in yet. Something happened with some coding issues at the lab and I will have to wait a little longer for the blood test results to come back. No wonder I was confused with the test result printout!     Hmmm - I never really thought of that before (but then again, I would have never guessed that Celiac disease could have been a possibility either).     I just got my test results back today and I'm a little confused. It doesn't look like I was tested for all 5 of the antibodies that I've seen many of you talk about here.
