  1. Thank you so much for all of the great responses! I think I will try to the gluten-free diet and see if I notice a difference. I have been "gluten-light" off and on for the past couple of years while trying to get a hold on all of the health problems I have been experiencing. However, I haven't managed to stay off gluten totally for any period of time...
  2. I have been tested for Celiac by my Dr. and was negative although my TTG was borderline positive (one point below a positive score). I also had a endoscopy and biopsy which were negative. I have been having trouble with gaining weight, floating stools, oil in water with bowel movements (not always), many vitamin deficiencies - potassium, calcium, iron,...
  3. Thanks for the responses. The celiac bloodwork was done by my regular Dr. She referred me to a Gastro who said he would like to do an Endo/Biopsy because the bloodwork was borderline and he admitted that the tests can be false negative. I have a lot of symptoms - GI troubles of all sorts, weight loss, anemia, Vit D deficiency, muscle pain, fatigue, etc...
  4. For those who have Fibro or other related syndromes, did going Gluten-Free help and if so how long before you noticed a difference? I have been diagnosed with Fibro by two doctors. I have been tested for Celiac and it was negative although borderline. I am trying different things to see if I can get some relief and have been unable to stick with Gluten...
  5. Hi Everyone - I was tested last year for celiac and had borderline results meaning I was only a number or two away from being positive on the IGG and TTG. I have had all sorts of symptoms for some time now but just recently in the past few weeks have started having bulky, floating stools which I have never had before. I am concerned about this since...

    ARCHIVED Dr's In Charlotte?

Hi there! I am in Charlotte and was tested by Dr. Scott Brotze with Charlotte Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He tested me for Celliac based on my symptoms. I knew nothing of Celiac before he brought it up. My tests were not postive but were on the high side of normal. I really liked him and after reading about how common celiac is and the trouble...
  7. Thank you so much for your response. I have had symptoms for years now. They have just recently gotten worse. My symptoms are fatigue, inability to gain weight, alternating constipation and diarreah (sp?), muscle pain, hair loss, anxiety and most recently just had an ANA test come back positive. I have had further testing done because my doctor thought...
  8. I was tested a year ago for Celiac and got borderline results. Has anyone tested borderline and then got a positive? I'm just trying to figure out if I should try to get my Doctor to test me again to see if anything has changed. My results: IGA 9 (0-19 Negative) IGG 17 (0-19 Negative) TTG 18 (0-19 Negative) I appreciate any insight...
  9. Hi Everyone! I've been lurking here for quite some time and learned so much. I was tested one year ago for Celiac and my results were as follows: IGA 9 (0-19 Negative) IGG 17 (0-19 Negative) TTG 18 (0-19 Negative) To me this is kind of on the border of being positive. I have had symptoms for years - fatigue (never feel rested upon waking), muscle...
  10. If only my TTG came back slightly positive, would that indicate Celiac disease? I'm a little confused and haven't talked to Dr yet. Thanks!
