  1. About 10 days ago I started to get the itchy, burning sensations in my usual spot. So I called a dermatologist, Duke Dermatology that has doctors who specialize in autoimmune skin conditions and specifically DH. The rash never really broke out like it has in the past and now it's just a little itchy with no real blisters. My apt is tomorrow morning and it...
  2. Yeah I def see what you're saying. What I mean by 80% gluten free is that in my every day I was gluten free but I would slip up if I was on vacation or at a party and had too much to drink, etc.. It s such a strange rash (whatever it is), the first time I got the rash it was on my elbows and itched like crazy but just went away before I even thought it...
  3. Please let me know if you have had this experience or know anything about it. Both times I did a gluten challenge to see if the rash would come back after ingesting gluten it was around the 3rd week of eating gluten daily before the rash appeared. Most people say 24-48 hours? Could it be that after gong gluten free for some time, that the IgA needs to...
  4. Thanks for your reply. These pics are from the first time I had a rash, later I got them on elbows and lower shoulder blade that looked much more like classic DH, but yes I agree these don't look like the stuff I see online. Just odd that no derm could tell me what it was. What they do know is that it's definitely autoimmune based on the biopsy (which was...
  5. From the first time I got the rash. Does this look like DH to anyone? Bruising is from itching so hard. Same thing on both thighs. Thanks.
  6. Figured it out. Here are some pictures of the first time I got it. It was like this on both thighs.
  7. Oh also I forgot to add this- When I went to get my blood test taken I had been using corbetosol on my rash which they told me is one of the most potent topical steroids i can have. I had been using it for 3-4 weeks. I have heard this can alter blood test results but cant find any actual medical journals or doctors saying this just people on forums. Anyone...
  8. Yeah I actually did have a blood test done but it was by a GI doctor who said "i dont think you have celiac" within 2 minutes of meeting him. That ticked me off. So i dont know if he got all the right test and what not, plus I keep reading celiacs with DH are often false negative for blood work but dont know what to believe.
  9. After lurking around these forums I am finally making a post. Just looking for some insight/advice from experienced people, so thank you in advance. I will try and make this as short as possible I promise! For as long as I can remember I have had GI issues. The usual bloating, gas, diareah, constipation. Had food allergy test and blood test when I...
