  1. This is about where I'm headed! I went grocery shopping yesterday and ran right into 2 other peoples carts with my own. That has never happened before. I can't even tell you how/why. They were in clear view.
  2. Wow. Tons of great info there. Thank you!!! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply to things. I sent a message in the portal to the doc about it being too long between shots. This is the second time I've put it in writing and said it once in person. I also asked to do the injections at home, since they told me initially, twice, that they would not charge me...
  3. I'm thinking I definitely wasn't ready to go to monthly. I felt as bad as I did before I started the shots, so probably back around 200 :/. I think the problem is that I need to talk to the doctor somehow, not just the nurse. The nurse tends to blow me off and talk about her own problems instead.
  4. Yes. It seems I have to take at least 3 (per day 1000mcg) for any effect. Does that sound right? I have no idea what the dosage of the shot is. I might have to order these things in bulk lol.
  5. I haven't been tested since they started the shots. I was around 200 when they tested it to begin with and they said they wouldn't test me for several months, so I figured they'd go by how I feel. Apparently not. I think that's a ridiculously long time to see if it's bringing my levels up!
  6. Thanks mamaw. I bet i'd feel like a million bucks if I could them weekly!
  7. Hello everyone. I was diagnosed Celiac a few months ago and at the same time was told my B12 was low (200) and I should get injections. I had thought my vitamin D was low because I was miserable all winter. I was uncontrollably passing out at my desk at work, even if I slept 10 hours a night. I was scared to death I was going to fall asleep while driving...
  8. I hadn't though about the other hormones! I have a follow up soon, I'll ask about it. Thank you!!
  9. Thank you! The doctor called and said the results are normal. I will bug them in a few months to re-check though.
  10. It looks as though a couple of the symptoms are the same, such as fatigue, hair. My weight is dead stuck, 10lbs higher than I want, no matter what I do. I did lose 10 lbs last fall though very fast (NOT like me AT ALL). I gained it back and then some. I do occasionally get heart palpitations, and night sweats. Actually the night sweats have been happening...
  11. Well..I feel like crap. I'm so "tired" during the day sometimes, it's uncontrollable. I've considered setting an alarm and napping at my desk at work. I just can't keep my eyelids open and my brain just quits. If it isn't the thyroid, I'll look elsewhere. I may have other food issues. (dairy and soy for many years before dx of celiac). I just couldn't find...
  12. I asked for a full panel and this is what I got. It's all within "normal" ranges, but should T3 be at the top with T4 at the bottom? Thank you for any input! Thyroid Stim Hormone 2.659 uIU/mL 0.35-4.94 FreeT4 0.9 ng/dL 0.70-1.48 Thyroxine (T4) 5.68 µg/dL 4.87-11.72 Free T3 3.6 pg/mL 1.71-3.71 Thyroid Peroxidase (Tpo) Ab 7 IU/mL 0-34
  13. Thank you!!!! That's great info!!
  14. Thank you both!! I will ask for the full panel.
  15. I've had hypothyroid symptoms for several years. Apparently my doc's office thought so too, since they've sent me for the test many times without me even asking (normally I have to beg). I can only find 3 results in my chart though. I know that there are conflicting answers as to "normal" levels. They always tell me it's normal, and this time the nurse said...
  16. Thanks. I didn't know I was a celiac at the time. I just found out last week. I only avoided it because of soy. So now I've been reading everything I can on it!
  17. I'm not even sure if it helps me at all, but I hadn't been eating a ton of gluten for a few years, since many things gluten also contain soy (commercial bread). I was enjoying pizza, flour tortillas & whole wheat pasta a few times a month. Ok..maybe several
  18. Funny you mention it. I do have an occasional but rare gallbladder attack, and the doctor was quick to mention removing it. Oddly though, it's not fatty foods that set it off! It took me years to figure out my soy & dairy issues, mostly because I was consuming them all the time. (Soy is in everything!!!). Maybe getting rid gluten will help me figure any...
  19. Thanks to all. I hadn't even thought about the kitchen! I have 3 insanely picky teenagers who eat tons of gluten (and leave breadcrumbs everywhere). I'm thinking I should have my children tested (especially the youngest who just isn't growing). It would be easier to get rid of all the gluten in the house, but boy would it be tough feeding them!!
  20. I was told to follow a low FODMAP diet for a month (this was 5 months ago), which I did, but it didn't help. I guess I'll start over. The bladder pain is more recent (2 months maybe).
  21. I didn't suspect it contained gluten..but wondered if it could cause the same symptoms. I'm back to miserable today :/
  22. Hello everyone. I've seen others post about orange juice, but I'm wondering if it's even possible it's causing my symptoms! I'll give some background first: I've had dairy issues for over 10 years (sinus, migraines plus intolerant), but have been able to tolerate cheese well for the past few. I absolutely cannot have soy..severe joint pain and asthma...
