    I had my GI appointment today with regard to my fatty liver with elevated enzymes. I had to do a lot of blood work for various autoimmune liver diseases. They tested me for Celiac disease too. I'm wondering how conclusive the blood test is ? Based on my symptoms and Mother's history of Celiac and ulcerative colitis they seemed to think I could be Celiac.

    Many thanks...I have driven myself inane with googling about the liver enzymes. I was in such a state of panic about it.. Hope to get some answers from the GI Doctor.

    Thank you so much. The rash is not eczema a dermatologist ruled it out a few years ago. I have been left with many questions and no answers for a long time now.     Thanks so much ...they were popped out of a tube but burnt a bit and the smoke bothered me. I think I'm freaked out after realizing a product I was using contained gluten. . The only time I felt 100% was living at my mom's who is Celiac and doesn't have a trace of gluten in her house. I'm thinking about transitioning my family to gluten-free. Really depends...

    I'm still fairly new to this gluten free lifestyle. I realize times I thought I was gluten free , really wasn't. I'm the only person in my house who is gluten free.     My mom has Celiac that caused ulcerative colotis. There are so many great gluten free foods now that's it's not so bad ! She makes stuffing , corn breads and has waffles. I stay away from grains for weight control but gluten free is not the worst anymore. I hope we both find answers and find peace with the answers.

    Thanks for the input. Now I have the fatty liver added and that raises the numbers on its own. In June on gluten ALT was 310 AST 200, August on the fatty liver no gluten diet dropped to 120, 80. A few weeks ago after the gluten incident they went up to 180,160. I'm just scared , I have read a lot about autoimmune hepatitis and other liver diseases.

    My ALT and AST went up by 60 points. My other liver functions are normal.

    Thank you so much ...I was on medication for anxiety and panic most of my adult life. I tapered off it over the past two years and cutting down on gluten was the only thing that stopped the panic attacks. I have been a wreck since the glutening and bad blood test results. I appreciate the support.

    It's funny you ask about the blood sugar. I was convinced I developed diabetes. Constant sugar cravings, exhaustion after eating and carb craving. Yes I had my blood sugar tested while fasting.     All of my other blood work is perfect. The only thing really wacked out is my liver. My doctor seems convinced the fatty liver is what's causing all of this.     I went gluten free (again ) about 3 weeks ago. What concerns me is now I have fatty liver disease, although the Doctor did not say "disease" just fatty liver. I am at my heaviest right now.     Thank you so much ! The more I read about syntoms, the more I have. My doctor basically brushed off my concerns by saying Celliacs are "very thin and have explosive diarrea" he is only concerned with figuring out why I have these elevated liver enzymes. I'm terrified I have one of the liver diseases listed for celiac disease. I can only hope the GI doctor...
