Anyway I now thing I may have celiac disease (it is in the family as my eldest daughter has it) the doctor gave me a blood screening test to have at the pathology but said to eat gluten for a week or two before getting it...
  2. Hi Sorry it took me so long to reply, long week. Thanks for the replies. Where is that info about the bio engineering? I would be interested in reading more about it. My son had the biopsy done on Thursday so I am waiting for the results, the gastro said he looks like he has it from his tummy. Me well I thought I was imagining the whole gluten...
  3. Hi Angela Are you going to get a biopsy done? IF so you should not start her on the diet first. I am surprised they haven't done a biopsy already, I think it is very important just to make sure that it is celiac and htere isn't anything else wrong. I hope you will get a dr who will actually help your little girl. Belinda
  4. Hi Angela My Daughter was also very clingy, I thought she was just a really shy sensative girl, she wouldn't leave my side. Also she would scream if people touched her or came to close, the drs was a nightmare. But since going gluten-free she is the most active girl I have ever met, she makes friends really easily and is the life of the party. Also...

  7. Hi My daughter has celiac disease she was diagnosed one year ago (when she was 18 months) she was very ill and wasted away. Anyway her specialist told me not to feed my son gluten until he was 12 months old. So he turned one in November and has been on Gluten for 2.5 weeks. He hasn't had a solid poo since! All very runny and it is giving him nappy rash...

  9. Hi Nini, what are the pediasure shakes? Just wondering does toothpaste have gluten, the one I use doesn't seem to have ingredients on it, bit weird might give them a call. I will check all the shampoos and stuff now too, thanks for the tip. She is on a iron supplement as her iron levels were very low, it seems to be having a good effect as she has got...
  10. Thanks for your replies I didn't realise that there were so many different symptoms. nini - wow 100 pounds that is incredible - wonder how the doctors explained that one lol. I think I am going to go gluten-free even if the tests are negative just to see if it improves my life. Oh if the bloods are negative, I read somewhere it may not be conclusive...
  11. Hi My daughter (18 months) has celiac disease, a really bad case of it too, her villi were completely gone when she did the biopsy. 12. Hi Florence, Thank you so much for your kind words, and yes it is a good thing we got it early. I actually got a blood test yesterday to see if I got the antibody. Monica, that is very interesting as Jades stools are not normal, they are not as runny as they used to be, but they are not hard like a normal stool, I guess these things may take a...

  15. Hi, I just posted this in the recovery section but thought I would post it hear as well. My DD was diagnosed with Celiac disease 3.5 weeks ago and has been on the gluten-free diet ever since, as far as we know she hasn't had any Gluten (99.9% sure).
