  1. Thank you. Personally, I don't feel it is my issue...but wanted to do a gluten-free trial just to rule that out. Carey
  2. Hi there, I do not have celiac but am trying a gluten-free diet to see if it alleviates any of my symptoms. I Know that with celiac, it can take months on a gluten-free diet to really see/feel any change, but was told that if it is only a sensitivity, that you should feel results rather quickly (within days). This was per my dr (MD). Can anyone share their...
  3. Sorry, I had posted the reference ranges in a previous post-- 2 years ago I had these tests and results-- Deamidated Gliadin ABS, IgA, result 2. range 0-19 for negative Deamidated Gliadin ABS, IgG, result 2, range 0-19 for negative TTG, IgA, result <2, must be 4 or more for a positive result. TTG, IgG, result 2, must...
  4. Well, I got my results back today. I guess I do not have Celiac. My results from 2 years ago were DGA, IGA 2 DGA, IGG 2 TTG, IGA <2 TTG, IGG 2 EMA IGA negative IgA QN 60 and today: DGA, IGA 3 DGA, IGG 3 TTG, IGA <2 TTG, IGG 2 EMA IGA negative IgA QN 56 My IGA keeps...
  5. I went for my B12 shot this morning and they took blood for the celiac panel. I should have results in a week or so. Thanks for all your help! Carey
  6. Thank you! I do appreciate all the feedback :-) I actually have several months worth of food diaries that I kept when I was trying to figure out what was triggering all my symptoms. I never could pin anything down since celiac was off my radar due to the negative test 2 years ago. I will actually get those back out just to see if they are helpful at all,...
  7. Good points. I'm definitely holding off until after testing, but I am preparing my kitchen (and mind) for a gluten-free trial. Thanks!
  8. That was the test! The Array thing. I'm going back to my regular doctor for my monthly b12 so I'm going to request he run the celiac panel again and will hopefully have the results by the end of the week and then I'll go gluten-free no matter the results to see if I feel any better. Like you (and Kate Moss!) said-- I'd MUCH rather feel better than eat gluten...
  9. Ugh, yea. I wanted to cut gluten out a couple weeks ago when I started putting all this together but I did read to not do so until I had any testing completed....so I am preparing to go gluten free but won't until it is either ruled out or confirmed. I want to at least try the gluten free diet for a month or 2 even if I don't have celiec to see if it at least...
  10. Thank you. I will be going for my B12 shot tomorrow and ask him to run them again. I'm sure he will. Carey
  11. You seem very....judgmental. I'm not sure if you aren't reading my actual replies or are just ignoring them. I have said that I am NOT pursuing the Cyrex test. I did NOT know it was a stool test. I thought it was a blood test. I do NOT prefer to get my information from a "podcast" (not sure why you put podcast in quotes...but I digress". Sorry I like to keep...
  12. It was 2 years ago. That is one reason I think I should be retested at the very least. If they are negative again, I can pretty safely rule it out for now (and hopefully forever). Thank you. Carey
  13. Frequently Asked Questions Q Is an IgA result of 39, where normal is 81-463, considered deficient and could it invalidate anti-IgA tests? Any level of IgA above 20 mg/dl should make the tTG-IgA test valid, regardless of age. January, 2013 A That doesn't quote the source. It has a date and is on the website for them...
  14. Thanks. I appreciate your help. Carey
  15. I appreciate the quote, and I hope it is accurate, though I cannot figure out to whom it should be attributed, so therefore cannot consider it to be a reliable source. I've also read that even if someone has tested negative previously on a celiac panel, if they continue to have symptoms, they should be retested every so often because just because you have...
