  1. Hi, thanks... Yes, I was diagnosed with glucose intolerance by an endocrinologist. That's when I started cutting back on sugar. Other than some deficits (chromium, testosterone, D + B-12) they found nothing. Except that I also have mild ostopenia, and I often get kidney stones which is strange but they told me not to worry about it and to get more exercise...
  2. Thanks for your replies...! Thanks for all the tips, I am indeed on a caveman diet and trying to figure out what works best. I had rice on Friday and unfortunately did get a reaction (bloating/nervousness), which for now makes carbs a thing of the past. I do indeed do very well on protein and am becoming picky about the ingredients in foods as well...
  3. Hi, Thanks so much for the thorough reply. I really appreciate it. Dairy is something I cut out of my diet too as indeed, I reacted to some things too... But dairy isn't as much of a problem as is sugar, in my case... I don't really know for sure if I'm gluten intolerant, but I guess, some of my reactions may have been caused by the sugar that...
  4. Thanks, well, apart from gluten I cut out all of the sugar too, so virtually no carbs... I'm glad to have lost the weight.
  5. Hi, Well, where do I even start? I've been ill for several years now and only recently linked my health problems to the foods I've been eating. I started off with cutting out gluten and have been on a paleo diet for quite some time, which seems to help in giving me more energy. BUT, I've noticed reactions coming from foods I didn't even know could cause...
  6. Hi, I'm currently losing weight really fast. I mean really fast. Would that be something to expect after going gluten-free? I really like the pounds coming off but is it normal and healthy to lose weight that quickly? I'm talking 3-5 pounds a week easy. Thanks, Ken
  7. Thank you... 3 years seems like a long time, but hey, as long as the symptoms go away there's a lot to look forward to. If only I could have discovered earlier that I am gluten intolerant, I probably would have healed by now... But my body is still young and I hope that if I drink and eat the right things and exercise a bit that I will speed up...
  8. Thank you! I'm really hopeful reading this. Just today I've started to get some sort of "stabbing" headaches, especially after eating, along with flu-like symptoms... Pain in my stomach, nausea as well. I'm guessing that this is my body detoxing and that I really am gluten-intolerant. I never would have thought this stuff would be so toxic! Thanks...
  9. Hi, thanks, you have a point... I'll consider it, but for now I'd just like to try the diet and see what it does. About the glucose test, it's kind of a diabetes test really. They give you a drink and look at your blood to see how it reacts. In my case my insulin has problems rounding it all up. Which means I could eventually get diabetes type...
  10. Hi, Thanks for the great info, Gemini! To answer your question: I have been diagnosed with glucose ((refined) sugar) intolerance but they never tested me for Celiac. I went to an endocrinologist and she never even bothered. She thought I had another rare disorder looking at my symptoms, but turned out, of course, I didn't have it. She eventually...
  11. Thank you... It's funny how we tend to be addicted to what we are allergic to. But actually it's not funny. If I can avoid high anxiety by giving up food, no problem for me. Gluten is just NOT worth panic attacks. I'd definitely look for other options if I were you... Think about the weight we can lose... how we can feel. There are other gluten-free products...
  12. No problem! How are you doing? Feeling improvement after going gluten free? For me after about 3 days without bread I can feel the tension headache go away but I'm still having anxiety and panic attacks, but already less severe. I hope some day I'll be in control again. I finally understand the bloating and the weight gain. If you're type O you are...
  13. I've suffered from anxiety and panic disorder for the last 6 years. I decided to cut back on bread etc. a couple of weeks ago. I felt some improvement until Sunday I decided to eat a bit of bread again, along with coffee and chocolate. That same night I fell asleep having panic attacks. Monday was even worse! And guess what. I'm type O. I'm never eating...
  14. Hi everyone, After years of struggling - and I mean struggling - I think I finally know what is wrong with me. I've been thinking about it for a while and have been leaving gluten out of my diet. Until last Sunday I ate some crisps along with bread and chocolate. Monday I was in Hell again, my panic attacks got really severe (I was diagnosed with panic...
