I recently had a an upper endoscopy for celiacs and got the results back today. The doctor took 16 biopsies and said my esophagus and stomach were red and irritated. Thank you for the reply. Do you suggest getting the biopsy? It seems that some people are for it and others don't see a need if your blood test came back positive. I don't have a doctor that really knows much about celiacs and they made an appointment for me to see an ARNP in the GI department. I feel like the appointment will be a waste of time. -

My mom was diagnosed 6 years ago and it took her a very long time to heal. She had a list of foods that she could not eat because her body was so damaged. You may also think about getting a food allergy test done. Many of the foods she couldn't eat 6 years ago she can eat now.
