Thank you both for giving me your thoughts about this. I guess I will go ahead and ask for a biopsy. The only reason I wanted to do this test is that I have loose bowel all the time and always have. I thought maybe its part of the problem. I also have inner ear disease that took away my balance function. I have never had a diagnosis on this some doctors... -
Ok I got my result on the test I sent to Entrolab. I went and read the link explaining about the range. I sent off for only the test that was 99.00 the antibody IGA I think it was. Anyway they say the test was postive. But my number was only 20. Reading it says you can be from 10 to 350. I read what they referred to as an explaination of this. That...

Just wanting an opinion. I ordered the Screening test for gluten sensitivity (Fecal antigliadin IgA antibody*) from Enterolab. I sent it to them. I ordered that one because I can't really afford to order all the tests. I am hoping that would be the one most likely to let me know if I might have celiac disease. Well I saw the doctor yesterday. And told her what I wanted. I ended up seeing an associate, which is ok. She won't give me the blood test for Celiac D. Gee thanks alot for all the responses. I think I will make an appt to see my records at the clinic I go to. Just to see the exact name of the testing that was done. I did have an IGG, IGA, IGM testing I think the IGG and IGM were negative but the IGA was positive. The doctor said that had to do with mucus membranes. But then he said he was doing another... -

Hi Kristi, I read the celiac board but don't post. I had blood work that was negative for celiac. But I have alot of stomach problems. I had to reply to your post as I completely understand. I want to suggest you drink lemonade when you feel that way. Real type of lemonade. You can try pickles also. I get sick like you describe and these help me. ... -

Thanks for your ideas. I was looking at the enterolab site. Not sure I want to spend that money either. I have 2 sons in college. I don't pay for much except they live with me so I guess that helps them. I only remember he doctor saying he would test me for it (celiac) and then later saying it was negative. I am wondering if there is a connection between pernicious anemia and celiac disease. I was tested for celiacs disease and the test was negative. Testing for pernicious anemia was positive. I know when I diet I feel much better and what ever the diet I usually end up limiting my bread type foods. I just wonder if anyone has a suggestion on the testing...
