  1. I posted recently about my almost 7 year old. She's had horrible constipation, reflux, abdominal bloating and other symptoms most of her life. Her first celiac test was when she was 18 months old. All the tests were negative except IgG which was 89 (very high). We recently had the tests run again since nothing else has helped and she again was negative except...
  2. Yes they ran the IgA, tTG and IgA deficiency. All normal. I don't get how it could be high for no reason either. Even if I wanted to see Dr. Fasano they can't see her until October and honestly I don't see the point if the nurse is already telling me she isn't celiac/gluten issues etc. Thanks Heather
  3. My daughter had a celiac test run when she was 18 months old. Only the IgG was positive - it was 89. I was told that meant nothing. Since she still has GI issues without answers we had the test run again - she's almost 7 now. The IgG was again the only thing positive but it wasn't nearly as high this time. It was 14 - the lab ranges were over 9 is ++. I called...
  4. I posted last week about my daughter who has had intestial issues nearly all her life. Back when she was 18 months she had a celiac blood panel. Only the anti-gliadin IgG was positive - at 85. They told me that meant nothing. So last week we decided to have this run again along with an total serum IgA. She's not IgA deficient. The IgA tests as well as the...
  5. Well I'm hardly an expert on celiac but I've been a parent now for 11 years and if something helped my child that dramatically - I'd keep on doing it. I'm currently in your shoes - without answers and awaiting test results that may or may not be accurate. I want to know for sure as I'm sure you do, but it seems to me that you already know. It may not officially...
  6. Thanks, I don't know which would be worse - to know she's on a restrictive diet for the rest of her life or to not know whats wrong with her. I guess I'd just like an answer. I'm tired of seeing her feel so yucky. Thanks - Heather
  7. Hi, I may be joining you all soon. My daughter will be 7 years old in July. She has had stomach problems nearly her whole life. She had terrible constipation (10 -14 days between BMs) often not able to go at all without an enema even when she was a 100% breastfed child. We started treating it with month after month of laxatives that really didn't work. 2...

  9. First, thank you all for being so patient with so many questions. I really appreciate it. I am working to get my daughter new blood tests since her only panel was done when she was less than 2 year old. At that point her only positive result was the IgG antibodies - her level was 89 - very high but since everything else was normal they said it was nothing...
  10. From your responses below (thank you very much btw) I really think my daughter needs to be re-evaluted for celiac. The problem is I haven't a clue where to go to make that happen. My ped is really great and will do whatever I ask but by his own admission this is not a topic he knows much about and isn't really qualified to diagnose it. He wants us to see...
