  1. Hello Everyone! I've read that many people that are celiac are allergic to casein. What are the symptoms of a casein allergy?
  2. I've just emailed the company about this, but I'm also posting this message in hopes that someone already knows the answer to my question. Is the wishbone Salad Spritzers Balsamic Breeze Vinagrette Dressing gluten free? It lists "natural flavors" and I'm wondering if it's safe or not. I loved this dressing before the recent diagnosis, and now I don't...
  3. Hello, My fiance and I are having our wedding this September. We're having an hors d'oevres buffet reception, and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions or recipes for gluten free hors d'oevres?
  4. Yes, they did biopsies too. Thanks for the information.
  5. I have a question about the different patterns found due to celiac disease during an endoscope. I just got my endoscope results back, and the nurse on the phone said I have a cobblestone pattern. Do different patterns indicate differences in severity of the damage to the cillia?
  6. I wasn't saying that it would be harder to concieve after going gluten free. In fact it would be easier. I've read that it can be harder to concieve and a greater likelihood of miscarriage if you have undiagnosed Celiac disease due to not absorbing nutrients well. I was just asking others how long it took for them to concieve after going gluten free if...
  7. So then typically, is it harder to concieve after the symptoms are triggered?
  8. My fiance and I aren't trying to concieve right now, but are thinking of doing so in a year or two. I already have a beautiful 7 year old daughter, and I'm not sure if I had the celiac then or not. I'm hoping that it wil be easy to concieve again, but since I've recently been diagnosed with celiac disease, I'm wondering if it is going to be harder to concieve...
  9. I just got a call from the Hannaford Research Center, and they said that the Hannaford brand tapioca pudding is gluten free.
  10. I've recently been diagnosed with celiac disease, and I've had recurrent yeast infections for years. I had my endoscopy today and I'm going gluten free now. I'm curious to find out if the yeast infections will be less frequent or non existant after going gluten free for awhile.
  11. I've just been diagnosed with celiac, and I've had cold hands and feet my whole life! That's interesting. I wonder if it could be connected.
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not Hannaford's brand of tapioca pudding is gluten free or not. It says it has "natural flavorings" whatever tha means. I called the company, and they don't know. They said they'd research it and get back to me. I was just wondering if anyone on these boards has happened to have called and gotten an answer to...
  13. I've heard that many people gain weight on a gluten free diet, but has anyone lost weight as a result of going gluten free? I am thinking that after my endoscopy I expect to loose weight by sticking mainly to fruits, vegies and lean meats. I may have some gluten free cereal in the mornings for breakfast, but I just can't see myself paying the outragous...
  14. Thank you for your input Sue and Ursula! I can't wait to start eating gluten free! I hope this rash goes away soon!
  15. Hello! I got a positive blood test for celiac about a month or so ago. I've been told to continue to eat gluten until my endoscopy on 5/26, so I've got about six more days to go. Around May 3rd I got this really itchy rash on my neck and partially on my face. My doctor put me on prednisone and it went away. Well it's back again on my face near my eye...
