I believe that McDonalds icecream and shakes are ok..however I would stay away from Jack in the Box Shakes because there is alot of cross contamination-- I have noticed that their Oreo shake is often mixed into the other flavors..not safe! good luck.

i am pretty sure confectioners glaze is corn starch and sugar. i have never had a problem with it..but who knows, some crazy company might decide to use wheat instead of corn..

I ate something that had gluten in it and caused a reaction. I have only been gluten free for 6 months. Its really hard to realize how serious this condition is.. especially you have been eating gluten your entire life! i'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It puts everything into perspective.

i had a gluten accident earlier this week. today i discover my scalp has severe dandruff and is practically falling off exposing blood. is this related? i'm kindof freaked out. i'm using the same shampoo i've always used (an organic kind i've read to be gluten free)

i developed a problem with peanuts a couple months after i was diagnosed.. my face gets really hot and red. its really weird all of things pop up one after another- lactose intollerance then gluten then peanuts. who knows whats next.

Mike and Ikes are one of my favorite candies..and now the ingredients list "modified food starch" in them. I am heartbroken. unless the mysterious ingredient is gluten-free, Mike and Ikes aren't gluten-free anymore

maybe try using tofu or tuna instead of crab? cream cheese and cucumbers are really good in sushi also..

I also come from Irish decent, however my mothers side seems to be the one that has symptoms of the disease. They are Dutch. It seems as though the Dutch are sharing responsibility with the Irish here! P.S.: Debmidge-

i know talking about skin stuff just gives everyone the heeby jeebies but! i could really use the help. i've been getting a few dime sized round patches of dry skin on my arms. they aren't going away, and look like my skin is melting off. definitely not normal? if anyone has a clue what this is it would be really appreciated..

i am a vegetarian.. does anyone have any information on gluten-free meat alternatives? I know that there are certain veggie burgers that are gluten-free. (however i dont know which ones) Unfortunately, my understanding is that most alternatives are made using wheat. If anyone could help me out i was REALLY appreciate it.
