  2. I have posted here off and on, questioning whether or not my daughter and I have problems with gluten sensitivity. I finally ordered the Enterolab test, and it came back negative! I wanted to post this, because I know the question often comes up wondering whether or not anyone ever gets a negative test from them. Well, I did! I'm relieved, but still wondering...
  3. Marlene, I have an OT question for you. I noticed in your siggy that you were first diagnosed with Hidradenitis Superativa. My son has that and is on Tetracycline for it. Do you believe that to be celiac related?
  4. I would SO love to try Juice Plus, but I haven't for the same reasons! I have a son whom I suspect has DH (soon to be tested), and he could really use a good vitamin. If anyone gets a definite answer about Juice Plus, please post it! I would love to find out that they truly are gluten free!
  5. I know it depends on which BCBS plan you have, but mine covered my daughter's tests, minus her $200 per year deductible, and minus 20% for going out of network. It wasn't much money back in my pocket, but now we have met our family deductible, so I am going to order my test, which they should cover at 80%. I got a medical claim form online and filled...
  6. thank you so much for that info!! i'm going to join now. i need to tell a friend of mine in decatur who has celiac about this, too!
  7. Oh wow!! I could've written your post! I just tested my daughter (age 3), but I think my son who is 15, has Down syndrome, and I'm convinced has DH needs to be tested. But I can't imagine how he would ever stick to the diet. Even now, if i send a lunch from home, he finds a way to sneak and get food from the cafeteria.... I'll be interested to hear...
  8. Oh wow! I'm near Huntsville--in Decatur. I was just posting on another thread, whining about needing good doctors. My daughter (3) got a positive Enterolab test just this week, so I'm brand new at this. My son (15) who has Down syndrome has DH, I am certain--I googled the pics and they look just like his skin. And I'm suspicious that I ought to be...
  9. Thank you for your replies. I guess I need to take a deep breath and figure out how to do this now! I actually suspect I may have gluten sensitivity, and I have a 15 year old son with Down syndrome who probably needs to be tested. He has no symptoms, but last night I googled photos of DH and literally gasped out loud when I saw the pictures. I am absolutely...
  10. Here's some background info: My DD is almost 4. She is in the 95%ile for height and weight. As a baby she would get a red rash around her mouth sometimes, and I never pinpointed what it was caused by, but my best guess was Cheerios. Her BMs have always been poorly formed--always soft, and often runny. She has always complained of her tummy hurting...
