i see you. how are you?

Hi Mia :D So nice to see you too!

I'm doing pretty well--currently trying to get my blood pressure down but overall feeling much better than I had been. I'm working with a Chiropractor in conjunction with my new doctor on that and a couple other issues.

I am happy to hear you are able to begin trying some new foods, and hope that you are also doing better. :)

Doctors and parents just don't understand how extreme and uncomfortable this bloating can be! I think in their minds they picture the kind of bloating they just take some Beano for

I can so relate to extremely painful bloating. My stomach gets so bloated, it literally adds up to 6 inches to my tummy...I look pregnant!

It is very painful. I almost want to go into my Dr's office, and look really bloated, because he'll think I'm pregnant!

Mold update:

No visual mold anywhere in the house. But he said he does feel the air test for the boiler was correct. But he feels we can just clean the area from top to bottom and put an door on the boiler room and put vent in under the house and we will be fine. He said right now we have dead mold spores that are giving off the smell. But if it would get wet in there without cleaning then we would be in trouble with lots of live mold spores.

Im just confused why i get sick more in the house. Could my body just be so overwhelmed with something else (metal toxicity, parasites or candida), that I am more suspectible to the mold.

what about non-visual mold. It doesn't always flourish in places that we can see.

I do think that the body can become intolerant to the littlest things once the "bucket" gets full.

Seems like I read that dead spores are not good either - from a health standpoint.

Paula, what about dust? I have to clean the blinds and other things that are often overlooked or the smell of the dust starts bothering me.

Yes he said we had the non-visual mold in the boiler room cause there is no moisture at this time. He Said he is positive if there was moisture in there, then we would be able to see them. He also said that dead spores can cause lots of breathing problems and be the cause of hte kids asthma.

I dust all the time. I try to keep my house spotless from allergens due to step-sons allergies. We dont have plants in the house or carpet for that reason. I make sure hubby keeps the fan blades free from dust.

I am just so tired and depressed today. My stomach has been hurting for 3 days now. I know its cause i have been eating chips and starburst like crazy cause im so stressed with everything going on.

I just keep hoping the hair analysis will have some answer for me.

Sorry Paula,

I know what your going through. Some of my family members still wear cologne so everytime I go home I feel sick. I think that's another reason I would rather hang out at the library. I't always empty here and the air conditioner for some strange reason makes me feel better.

That's good. Same here, no carpet, just rugs. Carpet in one room only. The one thing I'm bad about are the fan blades because the fans are always on low. Many of my windows don't have window treatments, too, so that cuts down on the dust.

Lot's of my family members have seasonal/dust allergies. One of the few things that I'm allergic to is dust.

Sounds like it might be the invisible mold. Might also be a sum of a bunch of little things.

I hope the hair analysis has some answers for you too. I can certainly understand the stress and uncertainty.

I do know that once you start reacting, even tiny things can throw you over.

So... does the pizza craving ever go away? :P

I'd have to say no. :P

We buy a gluten free pizza crust so we can still have pizza. :D

So I'm supposed to be on digestive enzymes, but I'm afraid to take them because I get sensitive to my supplements so fast, and you have to take so many in a day. They really help though? Perhaps I should try just one today.

I actually couldnt tolerate ANY enzymes....I was even tested for all sorts of different types and my practitioner couldnt find a single enzyme that my body responded well to. So for that reason I hadnt taken any in years. Ocassionally I would try a new brand but it never worked out for me.

Only recently I started researching some enzymes that were designed for people with similar issues...mainly autistic kids who are sensitive to phenols, gluten dairy, etc. The enzymes are not derived from fruits like most other brans and I've done so well on them!

These are the first ones that tested for well for me. I've been on them for several weeks now with no problems. :)

Rachel-

I ahve been eating mac and cheeses too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay for mac n cheese!! :D

Everyone comments on how weird it is to see me sitting in the breakroom eating lunch everyday!

It feels weird to me too....but I'm definately loving the fact that I can actually buy food where I work and eat it without getting sick! I'm totally careful about labels and its really only a few things I'm eating...and mostly the same stuff everyday.

The mac n cheese actually came from Whole Foods though.

I have to agree with Carla. That's not really "normal" food but I'm glad you been doing ok with it. :)

I guess to me its normal food. :P

Its not "special"....its the normal stuff thats in every grocery store across the country. Its the stuff I used to eat before I got sick. :) To me....if I dont have to travel to another city just to get my dinner and I can just grab it off the shelf at work....well that seems so normal to me!! :D

I'm finding out that as long as I strictly avoid salicylates...and this means NO fruit (except occassionaly pears) NO spices, No herbs, NO nuts and hardly any veggies...I'm tolerating a whole bunch of other foods! Same goes for the sulfur foods. If I avoid the high phenols and the sulfur foods I do really well with some of the other stuff...even stuff like sandwich rolls and hot dogs containing nitrates. :o

I'm not even tempted to eat chocolate now because I realize that its only gonna cause my sensitivities to increase and I'll end up reacting to everything. I would never tolerate the mac n cheese if I were eating high phenol/salicylate foods.

Even one mango can cause my sensitivities to go up.

So yeah....it looks like I do better on the gluten foods as long as I'm not making myself totally toxic with the salicylates and other high phenol foods.

I also found out that I cant tolerate hot dog buns containing high fructose corn syrup....I get totally spaced out....but without the HFCS I'm fine. :)

I'm also eating those yummy cinnamon rolls everyday. I only eat one at a time though....2 per day max. ;)

I dont feel as if candida is an issue even with eating all these foods...and yet if I eat healthier foods which are high in salicylates I feel extremely toxic and the yeast is more of a concern.

what about non-visual mold. It doesn't always flourish in places that we can see.

I do think that the body can become intolerant to the littlest things once the "bucket" gets full.

I totally agree April....lots of times the mold is in places that are not visible.

And yes...once the bucket is full...anything can become a problem. People who have chemical sensitivities, food intolerances, sensitivity to smoke, extremely sensitive to mold, etc., etc.....tend to have a bucket which is overflowing and an immune system that is overwhelmed.

I'm actually considering doing this, despite my reaction to casein last time. Yay vivid dreams. :P

Have you tried organic raw cheese. That may go over better for you.

Everyone,

So... does the pizza craving ever go away? :P

Birdy

I have to say...yes! I get nauseous just thinking about pizza! LOL! My whole life I've never liked pizza because from such a young age, I had terrible symptoms after eating it. When I would have pool parties for my bday, I would have steak and chicken and caesar salads.:ph34r: My friends loved it!;)

Yes.....but the same can also be said about acupuncture. However, acupuncture is well known to have many benefits. Many people have experienced a complete resolution of symptoms from acupuncture alone.

Acupuncture is now even used in conventional medical facilities. They may not know *how* it works....but it clearly does work.

I'm one who prefers to keep an open mind and I do believe that treatments such as EFT can do some people ALOT of good. It may not work for every person....no treatment works for EVERY person...not even conventional treatments. However, I do believe that this type of treatment can be effective for some.
