About Me
I am a celiac teenager although i don't look it, my little disease has made me delayed in puberty so while I am really 15 to ignorant people around me I'm still a kid. I was diagnoised with celiac disease when i was going into sixth grade and i have been miserable since. even though the sharping pain and sickness i used to feel has stopped, i feel left-out when my friends devour pizza at lunch or eat cake at a birthday party. so i learned to deal with it my own way...Johnny Depp and Lili Taylor films. My two heroes that let me know its ok to be different. Their films can escape me out of any situation and can instantly make me feel better. Anyone who knows me knows I am obessed with those too, for Johnny Depp's weird roles touch the place I feel like a freak and Lili's crazy roles help me feel like im not alone. The username IxMissxMysticxPizza comes from Lili's film "Mystic Pizza" where she plays a girl who works at a pizza place. I feel the username suits me for I really do miss pizza.

Welcom aboard! You are very fortunate to have a diagnosis so young! I suffered illness always, and have only found relief in the last couple of years. i heard from my mom it had had wheat but when i looked at the wrapper on allegery info it says it may contain peanut and it says nothing about wheat so therefore its ok right??? im not sure every time i eat one i never get any symptoms, so its fine right??? help. -

i understand how you feel when i went to my cousins wedding i felt the same even though they made me a nice gluten free steak and i had a coke i had to watch everyone else get to devour delicious fancy adveres and wedding cake. they gave wedding cake to everyone including me! ugh it sucked. i just ate strawberries for desert. its not fair. -

thats awful! but i wouldn't blame chili's. i eat there alot cuz their food is soo good, i get gluten free ribs and a yummy gluten free non-croton salad, sometimes i have the rice. besides anywhere you go you run a risk of getting gluten, people in resturants are really busy and really dont have time or patience to make the food perfect for us. its sad but... -

thanks for sharing! im sorry for what happened to ur brother. that must be so hard for your brother, bullying is so awful. believe me i know and have anger and lots of negative emotions inside of me rfom the bullying. i have severe low self-eestem and an annoying feeling to please everyone. like the one kid i tried to commit suicide cuz of their lingering... -

i think you'll jsut have to accept that cake at parties is a luxury you're going have to live without. perhaps to make you feel better you can bring a candy bar or your own gluten free cake you made at home so you dont feel so left out. maybe you could ask her to serve some gluten free icecream at the party.
