  1. Thanks, everybody! I will give these a try. I like cooking from scratch, but sometimes, I really am desperate for pizza quick. Does anyone know if these crusts freeze well? Maybe I could make a bunch at a time then pull them out of the freezer when I need them. This afternoon, I discovered the Kinnikik frozen crusts. After my last crust debacle, this...
  2. Does anybody have an easy gluten-free pizza crust recipe? I am tired of spending the money on premade mixes and frozen crusts and am looking for something that tastes good...or at least reasonably good. I've made some pretty awful creations recently Please help!!!!
  3. Thanks for the link!
  4. Well, for now I am staying off-and-on in Newport, but I'm not sure where we will end up living exactly. I am driving back-and-forth to Michigan these days. I would love to meet people in Cinci. It seems like it will be a nice place to live.
  5. I am moving to Cincinatti in the near future and am new to all this gluten-free stuff. It is nice to know that there are so many people out there.
  6. I think I am feeling the same thing. I keep breaking out on my feet and legs, and sometimes I itch all over. I don't know what it is either, so I guess I can't be of much help. But if there are two of us, it can't just be in our heads, right?
  7. Hi everybody, This sounds like a stupid question, but I thought I should ask it. Over the last couple years I've been having break-outs of itchy spots on my legs, feet, and occasionally shoulders. I recently found out that I have Celiac, and I was wondering if I have DH. So here's my question.... Yesterday, my students and I were making pancakes...
  8. Well, I did it, and it went fine. I won't know anything for a couple weeks, but I can finally go off gluten for good. Yay! I even made my first batch of gluten free cookies after taking a long nap when I got home! Thanks for your support!
  9. I am finally having my endoscopy tomorrow and am a little nervous about it. I'm sure it will be fine, though. I am so glad that I have been able to read all of your entries as I have gotten used to the idea of this Celiac thing. Thanks, everybody!
  10. Hi there, When I first started having problems, I was tested for Lupus, rheumatoid arthitis, Lyme disease, and many other things I don't even know the names of. They all came back negative. I mentioned to the rheumatologist that their was a family history of Celiac, and he said..."oh, we'll test for that too." The blood work came back positive for that...
  11. Thanks, BostonCeliac. I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one with inconsistencies. I guess I'll just have to wait a month to know more.
  12. I am very new to all of this, and in addition to my question about bloodtests, I was wondering if symptoms have to be constant. The things that are happening to me (joint pain, flatus, occasional D, and C) seem to be better at sometimes and worse at others. Does that fit with anyone? Since nothing has ever been constant, I just thought it was normal--until...
  13. I have had the same problem with both feet for a few years. At first, I used round-the-clock ibuprofen and ice 5-6 times/day to get my feet to heal. Once they were healed, using good shoes for everything was really important, and it hasn't been as bad since. I still have problems when I opt for the cute shoes instead of the comfortable ones.
  14. I have read other postings like this, but it would be nice to hear what you all have to say. About a month ago, I came back with positive blood tests for Celiac. I guess I wasn't too surprised, since my grandfather has it (my dad hasn't been tested). Is that enough to know that I have it? I am seeing a GI doctor next month. Since the blood tests, I have...
