  1. Years ago I had to go to the ER for the epinephrine shot when I had an allergic reaction to meds. It was the one and only time it has happened. Knock on wood! What I do remember is that rush of coolness that came once I got that shot. Oh, relief! lol I was sick for the rest of the day, though. I have done prednisone twice in the past 2 years for an intense...

    ARCHIVED Restaurants

I just have one big question: why do I get sick almost every time I eat at a restaurant, no matter what I might eat? Last week Red Lobster nearly killed me! lol Looking back, I didn't drown myself in gluten. Is it mostly a cross-contamination problem? Makes me want to avoid eating out at all! I'm no officially dx yet. Just a family history and all...
  4. Actually, I'm not off gluten at all right now. I'm trying to stay on until I see my doctor on Aug 4. The first time ever I have to wait for an appointment because she's on vacation! lol
  5. Are the celiac disease symptoms sporadic? Yesterday I got sick after eating a hashbrown casserole made with campbells cream of cheddar and cream of chicken soups. I didn't get sick after eating a roast been sandwich or pizza! Today I just feel like a truck ran over me. My body aches something fierce. I've been noticing these body aches for a few weeks...
  6. I am learning more and more about this celiac disease! And with 20/20 hindsite am wondering about symptoms I have had my entire life! I've gotten a rash on and off since my early 20s. In the spring, usually. It itches and oozes. BUT my blisters seem to be almost under the skin. They aren't on top, so there are no bumps. Almost like the top wall of the...
  7. I just learned my health history 2 years ago, when I located my birth family. There is a lot of lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, sclerodarma (my mother had lupus, scleroderma and a host of other illnesses; she died in 1972). My 3 sisters all have rheumatoid and two have lupus. My mothers identical twin sister has lupus. My 4 brothers seem to have escaped all...
  8. <<<it was only like as big as a piece of tape that you would put at the corner of a poster to hang up. really was not as wide as tape though but it looked like tape. and im also wondering, >>> I hope I am doing this right! I have nothing to offer in the way of knowledge, but I had the tape thingy when I did a stool test for e coli...
