  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. I have had problems with corn tortillas too. I tried a few different brands that said gluten free and felt sick after all of them...but my corn test came back negative so I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone get sinus/eye problems from eating corn? I have been eating air popped popcorn lately and I wake up feeling like I have been crying...
  3. I've been having the same kinds of problems lately. I've gotten to the point where everything make me feel sick and I don't even want to eat anymore. Some nights I don't get to sleep at all and then I have horrible dreams when I finally do sleep. I just started a new job and I can't seem to get motivated for it because my whole body feels so terrible all...
  4. Has anyone else had problems with not getting a period for a very long time? I have not had one (except for when I was on the pill for a while) in quite a while. I know I'm at a low weight right now and that could be part of the problem, but I don't get it even after gaining some weight. I don't know if I ever want to have kids but I would at least like...
  5. I think my fiber intake is pretty good. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. It seems like all grains make me feel very bloated...my stomach sticks out a few inches farther than normal. I never thought of a nutrient deficiency...I'll have to look into that. I can tolerate the D...the worst part is that bloated uncomfortable feeling.
  6. I don't take any vitamins or any medications. I've been eating well lately but I don't think I'm absorbing what I'm eating because (sorry...tmi) I can tell what I just ate after I go to the bathroom.
  7. I feel completely fine otherwise...my stomach is the only problem, so I don't think I'm sick.
  8. These last few days have been horrible. Went off gluten in march, dairy free for years, and went off soy and corn about a month or so ago. Was doing mostly ok eating just fruit, vegetables, and meat as all grains seemed to upset my stomach. But then suddenly I have had D for the past few days no matter what I eat. And I'm losing weight again...just when...
  9. OMG...I do that all the time! Sometimes I even make my husband let me smell what he's eating
  10. I think it would help if you ate more complex carbs like maybe brown rice so that it stays with you longer. Fruit and stuff is good but I think that the simple sugars in it have a more immediate effect on your blood sugar but it doesn't boost your energy for a long period like you need during a long run. I would try to eat things high in complex carbs ...
  11. wow...I had no idea that wine had casein in it. Now I'm really glad I don't drink.
  12. I'm also corn intolerant...finally figured that out a few weeks ago when going gluten free wasn't enough anymore. I thought that gluten was hard to avoid at first but it's easy compared to corn...it's literally in everything. What kind of reactions do you get from corn? Can certain forms of corn make you feel worse? I noticed stomach problems when...
  13. I would try to eat the same kinds of foods you were eating before your long runs before. It's always best to stay with something you know is safe so you don't feel sick during the race. Try to make your last meals before the race higher in carbs and lower in fats and proteins...these take longer to digest and you don't want food sitting in your stomach...
  14. Swimming and water aerobics are great ideas. If you have access to deep water you should also try deep water running. I did that when I had stress fractures and couldn't run. You can use an aquajogger to help stay up or you can go without if you can. It's a great workout and it's nice because you can exercise with other people who might be faster or slower...
  15. I have been seeing a lot more hair in the shower drain recently. I pull so much out just washing my hair. My stomach has not been feeling very good recently either as I have not been very careful about avoiding soy. Could this be causing my hair loss or should I be more concerned and see the doctor?
