  1. I'm gluten, corn, dairy, soy, and potato free...but I'm so glad I don't have to give up COOKIES (Enjoy Life Foods makes me happy )
  2. I absolutely love the cookies (except for the gingersnap ones...but just because I hate anything with ginger ). I have a very sensitive stomach (intolerant of gluten, dairy, soy, and corn) and have never had a problem with any of their products...well...except when I eat six boxes of cookies in on meal
  3. It's been a pretty tough week. My stomach felt sooo much better, but I had no energy at all and was cranky all the time and last night I broke down and had a bite of peanut butter and I could feel it immediately. So I figured if I already felt sick I might as well eat as much as I wanted. So I have eaten two small jars in less than a day Maybe I needed...
  4. I'm feeling so dumb right now...I made it through six rough days of the elimination diet and felt like crap for most of it...and I just ate a ton of peanut butter. I feel like my stomach is going to explode. Ugh...I'm going to go throw away the rest of the peanut butter in the house. I'm so bloated right now. No food is worth this...I don't care how good...
  5. Thanks for those ideas. Meat wrapped in lettuce is a good one...that takes me back to when I was little and we grew lettuce in the backyard and ate it like that. Thanks for reminding me and for the other good suggestions
  6. Thanks for the replies. I've been getting frustrated with food lately. The gluten and dairy were pretty easy to get rid of compared to the soy and corn. It seems like one of those is in everything...I just need time to adjust I think.
  7. So I am trying to eat just meat, fruit, and vegetables (not including corn or potatoes) for the next couple weeks. My stomach seems to do much better with those. My problem is I LOVE snacks after dinner. I used to live on popcorn...I could eat three huge bowls of it every night. So now I'm looking for any kind of crunchy snack that would come even close...
  8. Yeah...I know that my body doesn't like certain foods and I feel better when I don't eat them. But...my mouth doesn't really care how my stomach feels...it wants cookies I've been very good about eating this week but sometimes it's really hard. I just have to remind myself how good my stomach feels without these things.
  9. that this is all in your head? I had been eating gluten free/dairy free for a few months and felt sooo much better...then it started again so I got tested for corn and soy intolerance too. I felt a lot better after taking these foods out but then the test came back negative. I started this week eating only meat, fruit, and vegetables and finally feel good...
  10. I'm doing the elimination diet right now too. For the last four days all I have been eating is lean meat, fruit, vegetables, and water. And I have been eating smaller meals too. My stomach feels a lot better, but the rest of my body is very tired...I have no energy and feel really shaky. I figured my body needs some time to adjust. I plan on giving it...
  11. So, I've figured out that gluten, dairy, corn and soy are off limits for me and have been doing very well and have gotten really good at finding all the hidden things on labels. But now this week the front half of my tongue feels numb...like I burned it, but I know it's not burned. The only things I have eaten differently than usual is I made a cookie mix...

    ARCHIVED Ran A 5k Today

I had been training for a marathon but had to stop when I got sick ...maybe next year. It was really slow getting back into it. I started on the treadmill running really slow for a couple minutes until I got tired then walking for a while. I did cycles like that for about half an hour. Then one day it was so nice out I had to try a run...so I ran super...

    ARCHIVED Ran A 5k Today

This morning I ran in a 5K...haven't been allowed to run too much since I lost a lot of weight when this whole food intolerance thing started. But my husband let me run this morning and I had a good time...until I looked at the pictures he took...I finally see why people look at me funny when I run. They all probably think I have an eating disorder or something...
  14. I've recently added to the list of things I am intolerant to...so far it includes gluten, dairy, soy, and corn. So now I'm discovering that corn is in EVERYTHING! So I'm looking for new toothpaste and mouthwash especially but also lotion, shampoo, and those kinds of things. Does anyone have any recommendations? (I did get some new toothpaste but...
  15. Ok...so I am relatively new to all of this even though I've had stomach issues my entire life. They told my mom I had spastic colon (the wonderful old name for IBS ) and I thought I would just have to deal with it. Then recently my doctor told me it might be gluten so I stopped eating that and felt great for a few weeks...and then the problems came back...
