  1. Sorry, I should have mentioned he develops mild eczema when I ingest gluten products, and SEVERE eczema whenever he's had gluten. Also, in addition to DH having DH - I have auto-immune thyroiditis - which is possibly celiac related too. But, as mentioned I'm not sure I want to be diagnosed or have him diagnosed either. We've already had one insurance...
  2. Ugh. My mom mainly. MIL somewhat. My son is 8.5 mos now. He eats at least 2 solid meals a day now, and is still BF. I kind of figured he'd be weaned by now, and my hubby is ready for him to be weaned... but I'm not. Anyways, our extended family is always wanting to give him stuff: the gerber puffs, cake, etc. No matter how many times...
  3. Sounds like my son. He gets really rosy cheeks if I have too much dairy. (I'm still BF) He breaks out into eczema when I have gluten. If I cut out dairy & gluten he has no skin problems whatsoever. Hope that helps!
  4. My hubby and I tried for 2.5yrs before we got pregnant via IUI. He's a confirmed celiac, and his motility and morphology were HORRIBLE. His count was fine, but his sperm were deformed and slower than molasses! After trying for a year he went completely gluten-free. It still didn't help his boys though. (Sorry for that bit of bad news) I also found...
  5. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  6. Wow... learn something new everyday! I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and a massive oversupply/let down!
  7. YAY!! My DH will be SO happy! When we were early into the gluten elimination diet he ate the heck out of rice/corn chex until we figured out the malt thing. I guess corn chex still has the malt flavoring though?
  8. Pretty sure rice chex has malt flavoring... as do most mainstream cereals.
  9. My DH has DH It took him about 8 months on a gluten-free diet to eliminate his need for dapsone. Unfortunately for my hubby over 10 years ago he saw a dermatalogist who diagnosed him (a positive) but prescribed medication, Dapsone, to "cure" the DH. My husband continued to eat wheat and break out but took Dapsone to control his itchy blisters. ...
  10. I've had better luck finding gluten free stuff at Meijers. I'm also in luck that there's a health food store right across the road from Meijer's that has a nice offering. But yes, all are pretty expensive! Kroger's is catching up on their selection too. The one down the road from me has the Envirokids cereals, which my husband likes. I take a print...
  11. We agree! Most are nasty! This is the brand my husband has said tastes most like regular pasta: Open Original Shared Link
  12. I read on here that Arm & Hammer detergent has gluten in it. And we read his shampoo bottle this morning and it had 'wheat protein' listed right on there. What other hidden sources should we be on the hunt for? If he's following a gluten-free diet, and I still wash our sheets in the A&H will he break out? ______________________________...
  13. My DH (dear husband) has DH. He's 40; I'm 30. My husband takes 100mg Dapsone daily since being diagnosed with DH 5 years ago. He has not followed a gluten-free diet. We've been trying to conceive for a little over a year. We've both been through (multiple) tests and they are coming up with nothing to explain. The only thing we've been able...
