This does sound familiar; a lot like something that I've faced numerous times as a celiac. Gluten allergies and celiac disease can often cause GI issues like diarhea and constipation. The pain moving through the abdomen makes me think that there is some build up and things are having difficulty moving along. Does the pain feel sharp? For me the air bubbles...
