  1. I have managed to track down a brilliant product for taking to restaurants or using at home to ensure your food is gluten free. Some restaurants or food producers are less than caring about this problem, but www.Tepnel.com has the answer. I have tested several favourite foods & found them to be contaminated. Now myDermatitis Herpetiformis is under control...
  2. Originally from WI, I am still in denial over my newfound casein intolerance. I fear I will not be allowed back into the state if I can no longer eat cheese and drink milk. Courtney Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaatt!! Courtney, are you telling me they have ' Food Police' in the land of the free ? Please , tell me more !
  3. That is SO good.. I had a similar experience in a Turkish Restaurant in Sheffield, UK .. it restored my faith in humanity ! I have just noticed that you also have hypo-thyroid .. how are you doing with this ? I have it too... !

Actually I don't think that Outback or PF Changs or any restaurant or manufacturer for that matter, that is not dedicated gluten-free, should be allowed to make that claim with or without a disclaimer. Rather they should have to say "Gluten not intentionally added"( Quote) Yes, it is really , I suppose, crucial that people do say there is a slight risk....
  5. I agree with much you say. I think Veggies are most likely to understand as they also are used to ' problem eating' Are you in Australia ?
  6. I think if you keep eating out as a non regualr thing and are careful then the risks are controlable. I take your point.. however, as you get older, there are more celebrations & oportunities to eat out !!!! Christmas, Birthdays, Fathers day, Mothers Day, New Baby, Marriage , Christening... even a special promotion Barbeque from my car providers.. seems...
  7. "wheat free" doesnt necessarily mean "gluten free".. any thoughts? Absolutely right.. and many kind friends have bought wheat free cake for me , and I feel awful refusing to eat it ..
  8. Aren't any of you scared of cancer at least? I will not risk my life for the sake of eating out. How I agree with this quote. Today I decided to give up most restaurants for this very reason. I have DH , and it is a fortunate thing for me , as I would not know that my gut was being damaged by about 80 % of restaurant meals.... no upset stomach, but...
