    Chronic inflammation can upregulate IL-6 cytokines and upregulate jak stat pathway that directly activates Erythopoetin (blood making hormone). Celiac disease most definitely leads to a chronic inflammatory response - it will activate this entire pathway. Any means to stop chronic inflammatory response will be helpful in turning off this immune activation...
