  1. I've been gluten-free for over 3 months now. The only testing I had was blood tests that proved Celiac. I've never done the biopsy. Now I've heard that the blood tests may not be the most reliable way to detect Celiac and that Enterolab is better. My question is: Is it possible to get accurate results using Enterlob even though I've been gluten-free for ...
  2. I am looking for gluten-free mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Anyone know of any brands? Thanks!
  3. I have been gluten-free for a little over 3 months now. Last night and now again this morning when I go to the bathroom it is oily orange stool and oily discharge. Sorry to have to ask about this I know its gross! I just don't know how else to ask. I have never had this happen to me before going gluten-free and have never had it happen since going gluten...

Does anyone know if those new "Go Active" salads from Mcdonalds are gluten-free or not? Thanks!
  5. I need to know if this is gluten-free. thanks!
  6. I live by the Jersey shore and I'm not sure what restaurants are gluten-free or not. I am sure most places will be willing to accomodate you. When you get back, if you don't mind let me know if you had any luck or not. That way I'll know where to go when I go to the beach! THanks and have a great time.
  7. I have Clan Thompsans list as well and Tums are not gluten-free. I also have a list that was updated 4/04 and it says Tums are NOT gluten-free. I have been taking them all along up until a few days ago when I found out they are not gluten-free. Phazyme anti gas softgels are gluten-free. Rolaids multi symptom are gluten-free too. They are both gluten...
  8. Thanks Jan. Mine are not quite that big but they come and go. They disappear usually a day or two after they pop up. I'm going to the dr next week so if I have any then I will ask her. Let me know if you find out anything and I'll do the same for you. Thanks so much. Kerri
  9. They are just kind of little red dots that fade away after about 2 days. Weird...
  10. I had these little red broken capilarries under my skin on my arm 2 weeks ago. There was just a few and they went away in a day or 2 so I didn't really give it a second thought. Last night I noticed that I had a few by my elbow on the other arm. I have never seen these on my body before. I am currently almost gluten-free for 5 weeks and I have been on a detox...
  11. Thanks Lisa. I'm definitely heading out to the bookstore to get that book. I hope it works for me too! Thanks so much!
  12. I don't think you can determine if you have Celiac by a Catscan. I could be wrong though. I have been gluten-free for 4 weeks and haven't had any major improvements. I am beginning to think I have other intolerances/allergies to foods. I'm going to talk to my dr tomorrow.
  13. I have had anxiety for many years now. I have only been gluten-free for 4 weeks so I've yet to see any improvements but I am hoping to soon. I do not want to take any medication for it so I've just suffered along. I often wonder if mine is from a serotonin imbalance as well. Does anyone know if you can help to balance out serotonin naturally?
  14. I have never heard that long eyelashes are a marker for celiac disease. It does make me wonder though. Everyone always comments on how nice and long my lashes are. My son has the same beautiful full lashes as well. I am taking him for his bloodwork in a few days to see if he has celiac disease or not. It will be interesting to see if anyone else has heard...
  15. Thanks for the great info Richard. I would not have chosen to eat out if it could have been helped. I was at my cousins bridal shower which was a 5 hour event and had to eat something! I suffer with low blood sugar as well as celiac disease so its hard to go without eating something. There was no outside food allowed so bringing my own was out. I guess my...
  16. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences. I guess I will have to stick with eating only at places that have gluten-free menus. I am sure that my body still has plenty of healing to do as I've only been gluten-free for about 3 weeks.
  17. I just wanted to add did anyone ever feel anxiety as a symptom of celiac disease? Thanks! Kerri
  18. I went out to eat for the first time since being diagnosed. I asked for plain grilled chicken with nothing on it at all. They put it on top of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. I had them bring oil and red vinegar to the table. That was all I ate there. I woke up the next morning feeling so sick. But not with gastro symptoms like I have heard many of you talk...
  19. Thanks Kathleen. It sounds great. Can't wait to try it out!!
  20. Thanks guys for all the replies. I guess I will stay away from it then. I am looking for a good Italian dressing. Does anyone know any that are gluten-free or Kathleen you got any good recipes?? I really appreciate the help!
  21. My favorite salad dressing has hydrolyzed soy protein in it and I am not sure if the is gluten-free or not. I know that hydrolyzed vegetable protein and hydrolyzed plant protein are NOT gluten-free but I can't seem to find out anything about the soy protein.
  22. Thats great to me. The Ruby Tuesday's near me wasn't too helpful at all. They told me they couldn't guarantee anything was gluten-free!
  23. Thank you both. It makes me think that I may be able to have another baby one day!! Hopefully this diet will do the trick.
  24. Thank you so much. I am sorry that your husband hasn't been able to find any places to eager to help him. I am in Old Bridge Township. So I'm about 30 minutes from New Brunswick. I would like to go to the support meetings but like you the commute is horrible!! I guess I will try the Outback and see. We go out to dinner usually once or twice a week. I know...
  25. I've had Lyme Disease for the past 15 years and I was just diagnosed with celiac disease on Monday so I am not sure what to expect yet. I am looking forward to feeling better and am hoping that the gluten-free diet will do taht for me. Its confusing to know which symptoms are from celiac disease and which are from Lyme> UGH!!!
