Hi To All! I havent been on in awhile, still trying to learn about gluten free. My daughter (5 yrs) tested positive to wheat in an allergy test (scrape test on her back), it was a mild reaction. She tested negative for celiac according to the blood test. Anyway, I'm trying to stay gluten free, and am having a hard time with soaps, shampoos conditioners... -

ARCHIVED Gluten Free And Low Glycemic Index?
infiore replied to infiore's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi Nancy- thanks for the response. I do know about the ketogenic diet but it looks too unhealthy, with the high fat, so I think low GI is a better option. If I put my kiddo on this diet I will likely go on it too, as to me it looks quite healthy and might even keep weight down. I just shudder to think about gluten-free and low GI for a 5 yr old. Meat... -

ARCHIVED Yogurt

The people on the forum were saying that dannon won't certify that they are g.f.- which is a bummer because I think they are the ones who do the "all natural" vanilla flavored at the grocery store. I called the organic market and they said that all their organics which are labeled "plain" (basically, no flavor added) are gluten free. But yuck! who wants... -

Thank you momma goose and wolfie- you are very helpful. There was one at the grocery store that was "all natural" and vanilla flavored but I can't think of the brand. (?) I'm wondering if it's gluten-free?? I would like to stick to organic for my daughter for now. -
Can someone please inform as to which yorgurts are gluten free? My daughter is 5 (on a gluten free diet) and had to take antibiotic this past week. I'm concerned about yeast. I need to find one that's gluten free- preferrably organic? Thanks

Are the fries at Mcdonalds truly safe? I have read they are not, that at first they claimed to be but it was founded that their fries have wheat in them? Anyone? I have a 5 yr old and she wants to eat fries at at least one fast food restaurant, but I want to be very very careful. Thanks much

Katrinamaria... Hi We are from Waverly (10 min north of Cedar Falls). My daughter is gluten sensitive, she's 5 yrs old. Any ideas you have for good gluten-free food or places to take her would be appreciated. How long have you been gluten free? Thanks. How did you like yesterday, over 70 degrees... yeah, spring!

ARCHIVED Bear Naked Granola

On their website it does say that the fruit and nut kind is gluten- free but it doesn't say it's certified. Check bearnaked.com -I am still undecided about whether it's safe. The thing is, my daughter (5 yrs) loves it so I want it to work. I wanted to know if anyone had researched this particular brand because it's the only granola she likes. She has... -
