  1. Thanks for the recommendation. I see it’s an Australian brand. Wonder if we can buy it here I the US?
  2. Hi, After months of suspecting everything being gluten contaminated, I think it’s histamine intolerance mimicking some glutening symptoms. The biggest thing that settled it was my daughter’s neurological reaction fermented foods and probiotics general. I’ve tried this twice within a gap of six months. I do recognize now in addition to that avoca...
  3. Hi, My six year old has been complaining of tingling in the legs off late. This used to be pretty common thing with her pre-diagnosis and a couple of weeks after the diagnosis as well. And now it is back again. I am not sure if it's a glutening symptom, or she could be deficient in something. I got her Pure Encapsulations' multivitamin capsule, which...
  4. Hi, Just to add to the possible cross reaction or contamination sources- look into how you are reacting to the milk protein casein, or course avenin in oats, quinoa protein, and also possible gluten contamination in cooking oils. I care for my six year old daughter with Celiac, and it’s only after removing all oils from her diet has she felt b...
  5. Hi, Yes, my daughter will Sometimes show such instant reactions- hiccuping, acid reflux. But other times it’s slow and builds up over days if the contaminants is use daily. Over three days or so it’ll be joint pain, nausea, intestinal spasm, etc. For her, glutening symptoms and their intensity vary.
  6. Hi, My daughter has reacted to casein and the symptoms are unmissable- totally gluten symptoms. Joint pain, nausea, intestinal spasms. This has happened ten months after we went dairy free along with gluten free post diagnosis. I am certain she is reacting to casein. We never did oats for the same fear. Not even going to try the Certified one. It...
  7. My daughter showed great improvement in the following weeks of total gluten-free. Then even slightest of contamination is so called gluten-free foods like honey, cooking oil, ketchup, maple syrup, etc. we are at a point now that we’ve stopped everything that comes out of a packet. EVERYTHING. In her case it’s either she is very super sensitive and might rem...
  8. Hi, I am mother of a six year old who was organized a year ago when she was fine. to answer your question about removing gluten from your kitchen- it will be a mammoth task but your entire kitchen has to be free of gluten for her to be safe. Now I’ve learnt from this forum and others that different celiac patients show different level sensitivities t...
  9. I just wanted to share that my daughter reacts to quinoa and corn, certified gluten-free. Who is to say if her threshold for handling contamination is lower than 10ppm or it's cross reaction. I never bothered with oats for the same reason.
  10. Hi, Were you able to get a response from them? I have written to Nuts.com asking info. om how to they test, etc. I am awaiting a reply. And, my daughter is allergic to tree nuts, so we only buy their straightforward organic dried fruits sans any preservative/additives.
  11. I second Nuts.com. Theirs seems to be good. My daughter can have their certified items without any problem. I don't even know how to process this!!
  12. I have written to them about sharing details of the lab that does testing for them. That way I can at least know the contamination threshold the lab tests for. For I had written to GFCO in regards to another brand that GFCO told me they do not have the info on the testing threshold for contamination on individual brands. They let the companies set that for...
  13. Sorry, I should have attached this one. Their email to my follow up.
  14. Maybe I should write to GFCO as well with BONO's response, if what you say is the case. I wonder if GFCO has different requirements for imported products. Here is the email:
  15. Thanks. I wonder if there are others who have reacted to GFCO certified oils. My daughter has to BONO brand. These people do not really test the oil before bottling. GFCO simply attests to their declaration of the bottling plant being a gluten free facility. I dunno if their are any oils which are actually tested for gluten contamination.
