  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Hey! I am the mom of the 3 year old we are trying to adopt but all his medical issues need to be cleared up. Have seen a GI and they did blood tests and an x-ray of his stomach. Celiac panel came back neg (only been on gluten for 1 month) which I predicted to the Doc. The xray showed him FULL of stool. Got the call today that he was just constipated. All...
  3. Thanks! We do not get to pick our doctor. Our peds has to refer us. We are going to see a GI at Vanderbilt- Dr Martinez. Of course if you know of anyone that specializes in this disease I would love a name and see if we could get a referral to them. Thanks so much and I would be lost without everyone here! Kristin
  4. Sounds just like my son. The doc gave me all kinds of meds to "clear up the bites" and they cleared up on their own within the week. I don't know how my son gets to the middle of his back and scratches them till they scab. We weren't even outside the day they appeared. Nice to have folks who know a little more than the doctors=)
  5. We are in the final stages of adoption with our son Abraham. Of course because he was in states custody all his health issues have to be worked out and there are definitely some! Received call today that our GI appointment is Aug 3rd. They will neither confirm nor deny that he has celiac or gluten allergy until more tests. He also suffers from seizures and...
  6. The sandy poops didn't even raise an eyebrow from my doc. Of course I knew from looking at them there was nothing normal about them. Since being gluten free for 3 months they are almost completely gone and it doesn't look like he ate a sand castle! When she has a sandy poop is hard to wipe it all off? SOmetimes we had to put him in the tub because it was...
  7. Thank you. This is the first time I've been able to talk to someone about this who understands. Just hearing from you that this has happened to your daughter makes me think I am right and doctors don't know everything. Thanks agin for your support! kristin
  8. Just wondering about the welts on my sons back. They showed up this weekend and now they are scabbed over. When they showed up they had a small white dot in the middle and he said they hurt. When we saw the dr he said he was certain they were bites and my son scratched them and made the scabs. Today at home because it was raining 2 more showed up. No mosquito...
  9. One odd symptom my son has had when on gluten or if he accidentally gets any is he will have bowel movements that look like a pile of sand. Grainy and thick. He has also had the mucus ones but the "sand poops" as we call them are weird. He also gets a strange rash on his bottom that looks like he took a rake and scratched his bum. This happens with poops...
  10. How wonderful to hear from you all. Today I received a call from the doctor that said the test came back negative and wasn't that great tp hear that he didn't have celiac?! She left it on my voicemail so I haven't had a chance to "speak " with her. I told some family and they were like you worried all for nothing. Had I not read the messages from everyone...
  11. My son came to me when he was 18months old. At that time he had only been fed smushed peas, vitamin d milk and ketchup. His birth mother willingly gave him up for adoption and I still speak with her but there is no known birth father so medical history is incomplete.During this past year my son Abraham began eating solid food which of course included gulten...
  12. Hello! I am new to this but very excited to have found people gong through the same thing as me. My son has not been diagnosed with celiacs but we are going through the testing. I have been trying for over a year to find out what was wrong. He also craved bread like I have never seen before. Bread and biscuits would cause a temper tantrum if he couldn't eat...
