I just wanted to get a little input or validation or whatever. I have been having a lot of IBS type symptoms since March - (well really my whole life but much more dramatic since March) I have a red face when I eat something ??? and an itchy scaly red face when I eat something else. If I drink most alcohols except wine my face turns bright red and hot.... -

I'm gunning up to go to the GI on the 24th. I have been nearly gluten-free for a month or more (although I think I have been poisoned by it in small amounts each day by my lack of knowledge). I was just wondering about something I keep hearing. I have not been diagnosed as celiac - I go to the GI at the end of this month. I have been trying to cut out all gluten products, and have messed up almost everyday in small amounts. Boy am I surpised how much it bothers me even in small amounts. Thank you for responding. I guess I wanted to get diagnoses because I heard you can claim the food on your tax returns if you are diagnosed. The food is so stinking expensive. I also heard that you have to go off of the gluten free diet in order to get a correct biopsy or blood test. I just don't know if I can do that. I get sick after I eat one time... -
