    HI, i see where you wrote that you are in the hospital with narrowing of the intestines is this common for celiac or just something that happened? i am recently diagonised with celiac and dont know much about it , by the way i hpoe you have a speedy recovery!

    If celiac is all about the diet then why are we uninsurable are there more long term effects i should know about ? as I said i know almost nothing about celiac, i would love to know more ... where do you get your info? from a doctor or other health care provider? ther are no support groups whereI live I'm about 2 hrs from asheville [the biggest city].

    Yeah I seem to be in fairly good health except for the celiac and everyone tells me it is inherited but i havent heard of anyone in the family with this disease i still know almost nothing about it except avoid a million diffrent foods, i have no insurance[ i lost it about the time i was diagonised] so i dont go to the doctor and since im from a small town...

    I was recently diagonised with celiac disease,I had this as a child but thought i had grown out of it. 6 months ago I began having severe stomach pain , enough to require pain meds. the doctors began testing for divertilosis, IBS etc , after the colonoscopy and bioposy celiac was confirmed.     I'm from a very small town in nc there are NO doctors that specialize in or even familiar with celiac disease i feel so frustrated that i can't get information this disease much less a glutten free diet every thing i've read has come from the web site celiac.com
