  1. My daughter has been gluten-free about 4 months. Prior, her tTG was over 100 (test maxed at 100). Her liver, iron, vit d are all normal again and she has grown 2 inches and gained 4.5 pounds in just 4 months! It's amazing. But her tTG is still at 9. Is that normal or should it be zero? Is she still getting gluten? We are SO strict. We don't eat out. She...
  2. I'm looking for bars or non perishable snacks for my 2 kids. They are 5 and 3. The 3 year old seems sensitive to oats also. We do a lot of long hikes and bike rides. They eat mostly fresh foods but for these rides and hikes we need easy and non perishable. Also that taste good! We do a lot of larabars and freeze dried apples but those are getting old. Any...
  3. Do you think a children's multivitamin might help? I just ordered the probiotic and also multi from hiya. I'm usually not into the multivitamin as my kids eat really healthy but maybe for the ones with celiac?
  4. Thanks! She was taking iron and vitamin d. Iron has improved so I took her off that (that was not the source of the pain). Vitamin d was low also pre diagnosis but we didn't check b. She has blood work due at the end of the month so I can add vitamin b. She is on a meat kick right now so eating beef regularly.
  5. Her poop is totally normal since going gluten free. Once or twice per day. She eats a lot of fruits and veggies. No juice. She said the squeezing is in the spot where her food goes in her belly. Definitely not dehydrated. She drinks tons of water.
  6. Hi, My 3 year old was diagnosed a couple months ago. We went gluten free, very strict, and everything improved. Energy, no more meltdowns, bad rash is mostly gone. She's doing great. Except she complains every day of stomach pain. She describes it as squeezing. Any ideas from anyone? We cut out oats and it didn't make any difference. She doesn...
  7. We decided along with the pediatrician based on his results and his sister having it that he does have it and proceeded with the gluten free diet. His behavior seems a little different so we will see how things change over the next few weeks! We think we just caught it really early. He can always do a gluten challenge when he's older if he wants...
  8. But yes seeing all those negatives does give me a bit of doubt! I feel confident but those results give me a seed of doubt. Especially since it's a lifelong diet for him!
  9. When I originally posted I hadn't talked to the pediatrician yet and didn't realize about the budosinide. Now I feel pretty confident. I was concerned that all of the tests didn't come back positive - that seemed kind of ambiguous to me. I didn't realize that was common. Do a lot of people on here have a positive tTG but negative other tests? I thought the...
  10. These are my sons results. My daughter was high positive on everything and maxed out the tests in addition to being anemic, bad rash, etc. Yes, he has been eating mostly gluten free (not completely). He was also on a high dose of budosinide at the time of testing due to some asthma and sickness. I didn't realize that affects the results. This...
  11. I'm confused about these results. We are not seeing the GI doc. He's totally out of our price range. We can just do gluten free like we do for my daughter who was off the charts on all of these. Any thoughts? Maybe we caught it early? He's only 5. His EMA was negative. That got cut out of the photo.
  12. Well, the problem is we kind of did proceed with dietary changes. Until his ASK study test he was eating school lunch 3x a week (high on the gluten) plus occasionally a weekend treat with gluten. Since the test I went to packing his lunch and everything he eats at home is gluten-free due to his sister. I would say 1-2x a week for the last 3 weeks he had a...
  13. After my 3 year old daughter's diagnosis, we all got tested. My 5 year old son also came back positive with number 12x the upper limit. We will confirm with another tTG and the other 2 tests in the panel. He has zero symptoms that I have noticed. Maybe occasionally vomiting. He does have asthma. He's kind of an a**hole sometimes but also he's...
  14. Hi, I posted before about my 3 year olds diagnoses. Thank you so much for your helpful responses! We are getting her brother (age 5) and sister (age 1) tested through the ASK program (so it takes awhile). My husband and I are getting tested also. My question is this - if my 1 year old tests positive (I think she will) and I don't (likely...
