  1. Hi Marian.... Thanks for the note of encouragement!!!! I'm not really worried about anything in particular, I was just trying to tell Discovery that worry doesn't mean you're going crazy!!! I think we all worry about Celiac from time to time! (I have to admit from time to time I do wonder, if not worry, if I can heal at my age!) I take Jarro-Dophilis...

I'm 62 and like you sometimes wonder if it's too late for me to heal....I've been Gluten Free for 7 1/2 months and it's a roller coaster ride! I went to Entrolab to order the test but at the bottom of their page they say if you've gone gluten-free and noticed...

    ARCHIVED Left Side Pain

Thanks....glad to know I'm not totally nuts!!!!
  6. I contacted Starbucks online and they replied asking me to call them. I did and they told me the reason they wanted me to call them was so they could advise me "in the location I was in". So you might try the same thing. There were only two items locally that I couldn't drink. Good luck!

    ARCHIVED Left Side Pain

Thanks for replying! This pain only makes itself known once in awhile...so far it's never been severe. As far as dropping dairy....I don't drink milk....it's made me feel sick to my stomach for a few years now....I have noticed since being gluten-free that carefully checked ice cream bothers me....but cheese doesn't. Does that make sense? Del
  8. I have been gluten free for four months and a few days....some good days and plenty of bad days. I'm 62 years old and I've read it can take years for someone my age to heal! My question is do any of you get a pain in your left side....right about where you waist is? Sort of a twinging/throb.....not constant but comes once in awhile. Thanks! Del
  9. Do you mean the Restaurant Guide to Eating Gluten Free? If so I got it yesterday and I think it's the smartest thing I've done since I found out I have Celiac four months ago.
  10. So glad you asked....... I've been Gluten Free for four months.....do great as long as I eat at home but my husband and I were "required" to go to a Black Tie Dinner this past Friday night. (You can all imagine how I was dreading it) When we entered the dinner our waiter was posted at our table so I went up to them explained that I had Celiac and must...
  11. My reaction time is usually between five minutes and 20 minutes....but the worse symptoms can be much later and last for hours. I'll still have mild reactions for a couple of days.
  12. What part of slower lower Delaware are you from? I live in Las Vegas, NV now but I'm from Lincoln, De and my husband is from Milford, DE......most of our relatives are around the Millsboro/Rehoboth area. I'd love to know what restuarants to go to when we are back there.
