    Please can anyone help. I was diagnosed on 23rd December and I am trying my best to get my head around all the things to look out for. I have read that yeast extract is not to be eaten by coeliacs. Why? And is this all yeast extract. Or is this information wrong. Thanks.

    I have been diagnosed with coeliacs disease today after endoscopy, bloods and CT scan. I have also been diagnosed with Mesenteric Panniculitis today. Both of which I believe are autoimmune diseases. I have been told I will need a dexa scan and a repeat CT scan in 6 months. I had not even heard of Mesenteric Panniculitis till today.     I have had my endoscopy this morning with biopsies. My consultant said that it looked like I did have coeliac disease from what he could see. I now have to wait 3 weeks for the biopsy results. Do I continue eating gluten till my follow appointment in three weeks.

    I didn’t know there were different types of CT. I’m not sure which I had. It just said CT scan with contrast.

    I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.

    Is it normal for you to have a CT with contrast as well as endoscopy with biopsy. When being diagnosed.

    I have had the tTG-IgA blood test my result are >250.0 I am waiting for the appointment with the gastroenterologist for endoscopy and biopsies. what are the chances it’s not coeliacs. waiting and not knowing is so hard. Especially the eating of gluten knowing it may be causing you more harm and coping with the symptoms.
