  1. After I had my endoscopy and colonoscopy, I had to make an appt. with my GI to get my results from the biopsies for 4-5 weeks later, so I guess it can take awhile. I know when I call the GI's office, you often get a recording and they tell you how unbelievably busy they are, and that they will attempt to return you call within 48 hours, and NOT to leave...
  2. Hi Newbieva and everyone else! Nope, I asked for a cheeseburger and fries, and got a glass of water Not even close, but I downed that water, and a second like I had been shipwrecked for weeks. My "prep work" prior to the endoscopy and colonoscopy was hell, I will never do that again, but the procedure was great. I was out before they could even ask...
  3. There you are!! Glad to hear you made it through the procedure okay! One of my biggest fears is I will also come out with an "icky" tummy and lose even more weight. I can not afford to lose one more pound, but who knows, I have had surgery before with a general and come out of it wanting a cheeseburger! Could be all the samples they took, I am sure of...
  4. Hi Newbieva! I have been checking back onto this post for days now to see how you made out. You have been missing in action and I am just praying you made it through the procedure okay! I am having my endoscopy and colonscopy this Friday, so wanted to keep checking back in and see how you made out, and how the procedure went. Hope you are okay and...
  5. Hi Paula, Now with the kids gone back to school today (it's the most wonderful time.....of the year!! hear me singing?) I have been sitting here too trying to see if I can find anything about these hand spasms and if there is in fact any relation to Celiac. I will keep searching, but if I find nothing, I will ask my GI dr. on Friday. May not be too...
  6. Hi Paula! Yes, I get frequent hand spasms, but not sure why. I was just tested, via bloodwork for Celiac Disease and this Friday I have my endoscopy and colonscopy for suspected Crohn's or Colitis. Now I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis, so I just always chalked up my spasming of my hands to the arthritis. My hands are constantly cold...
  7. Thanks for the replies everyone, my nerves are much calmer now! I think when they call me this week to confirm and remind me (like I could forget, I have tried though!) I will reiterate to them just how freaked out I am about them going down my throat and remind them of my horrible gag reflex. It sounds like I will remember nothing, even if I have...
  8. Hi all, just a newbie here, first time posting, but have been reading for a couple of weeks now and thank goodness I found this site, it has been most helpful! Here is my wussy question. This Friday, Sept.7th, I am going in for an endoscopy and a colonoscopy, as my GI specialist believes I have Celiac Disease (waiting on the bloodwork) and either Crohn...
