  1. I was glutened last weekend and after going through every little detail of the weekend's events, the only thing that could have caused it, unless there was some cc involved aomewhere (unlikely), was the sunscreen. I checked with the company about it and they couldn't guarantee that the product was gluten free (here's the response I got: Thank you for...
  2. They don't advertise as being gluten free and don't show up on the standard "gluten-free restaurant" lists but when perusing their website (I'm going there tonight), I found that they have a gluten free menu. I was very happy with this find! Open Original Shared Link

    ARCHIVED Can Anyone Help!?

Thanks for the response. I had to jump through hoops just to get my doctor to give me the tests. And then he never sent the results. I had to call the nurse to get them as usual and she told me she had no idea what they meant. Nice, huh? I have many of the symptoms and I've been gluten free for about 2 weeks (less than 1 one the test was done). I...

    ARCHIVED Can Anyone Help!?

My doctor's nurse faxed me them. They say: Test description: Endomysial Ab IGA Result: NEGATIVE (NOTE) Reference Range: Negative in normal individuals and patients with dermatitis herpetiformis and or coeliac sprue adhering to gluten free diets. Report includes presence of titer of circulating endomysial antibodies. Test Description: Gliadin...

  6. When I first read this, I read it as everything listed is fine---gluten-free. But then I read it again and I'm confused as to why she didn't say the first three were gluten three when she specifically stated that the last three on the list are. What do you think? Thank you for your interest in Clinique. While a formulation may contain no wheat, oat...

    ARCHIVED Marathon Training

I was only diagnosed because of running injuries. I've trained for several marathons. I was only able to finish one because I was always stopped because of injury - even though I had dropped my mileage to less than 40 mpw (I cross trained a lot). I had posterior tibial tendonitis for almost a year, several soft tissue injuries and what seemed like a...
  8. Boo! Broccoli is my favorite food. I guess I'll cut it for a few days and see what happens.
  9. Interesting. Thanks, jmommy. This is all so much fun. Grrrr. I will give the white rice suggestion a shot (eventually). Thanks.
  10. I've always been lactose intolerant so I don't eat dairy. I'm eating brown rice and broccoli for the most part. I don't think I'm getting glutened but even if I was, does it make sense that only now am I having problems with diarrhea when I didn't before (when I was definitely being glutened every day)? That's where I'm confused.
  11. Hi there. I've been searching this forum for this specific question and haven't found it. I've been *relatively* gluten-free for 5 days. Prior to going gluten-free, I didn't have a problem with diarrhea (for the most part). Things weren't exactly great in that area, but like I said, I only experienced that sort of unpleasantness occasionally. Now,...
  12. I'm surprised they even show it in Minnesota. I'm originally from Wisconsin, lived in Minnesota for a long time and now live in Boston. I figured it was an East Coast thing.
  13. Phew! Thank you. I was worried. So now that you all know how lazy I am, carry on. Really though, it's great to have this resource here. I didn't realize how much there would be to learn with all of this. And I always thought I had "paid my dues" being type 1 diabetic. Guess not, huh?
  14. Hello. I am newly diagnosed (as of today). I'm learning a lot from reading this forum. Question: Is it bad to use a dishwasher (to wash dished that have had glutened food on them)?
