  1. You all have been so helpful to me that I wanted to give you all a quick update. My blood work results just came back and my friend called me with some news. She is not an actual doctor, well, she is a chiropractor but you know what I mean. Anyway, she said that she wasn't sure what it meant but one of the tests (she didn't mention the exact one) ...
  2. Hathor, thanks for taking the time to respond. I got the blood work done today and now I am absolutely finished wth gluten. I hear you about the biopsy. I refuse to get that done. It is enough for me to know that I can't handle gluten due to my experience of going off of it and doing so well. I don't care about the diagonoses. If I get one that is...
  3. Centra and FranW, thanks so much for the feedback. My instincts tell me that I have found a huge source of my issues but I just really needed a reality check. I wrote down which symptoms lightened each day I was off of the gluten. I will take that with me to the doctors. The biggest concrete example I have to give is that I lost 5lbs in 3 days. ...
  4. ravenwoodglass, Interestingly, I started a list the day I stopped eating gluten and continued every day there after. I have had enough experience with doctors to know to document everything but thank you for that advice!!! Thank you for the heads up about the depression. I can understand that the body must go through massive changes during the detox...
  5. Hello, You all have been so wonderful answering my questions. So, here is my situation now. Tomorrow my friend has scheduled for me to get the blood tests done. Then on Monday I am scheduled to see a doctor about the whole issue. I am really excited to get the blood work done tomorrow because the minute they are done I am never eating gluten again...
  6. Thank you both so much!!!
  7. So, from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon of this week I went gluten free and felt amazing. Then last night (knowing a test is coming) I went back to eating the way that I used to pasta, bread, etc. I feel awful and so depressed today that I can barely move, not to mention the bone pain came right back. Now here is the question-if I don't get...
  8. Momma Goose, thanks for the reminder. I did eat some pasta at dinner tonight and within 3 hours started feeling intense bone pain again. Can't wait to get this test over with Thanks !
  9. Thank you so very much You are a life saver!!!!!!!
  10. I hear both sides of the argument. I am 100% certain that I will not eat gluten again once my test is done. My friend, who is a chiropractor, can order the tests done for me and we will see. I have only been off of gluten for 72 hours. So, I think if I just eat gluten this week I should be fine for the test. I will probably have the blood work done...
  11. So, from my previous post many of you may know that I believe that I have Celiac and was looking around for a doctor to test me. Today I met with one of my best friends who is also a chiropractor. My insurance will allow her to order my Celiac blood tests so that I don't have to go to a regular doctor just yet. She wants to help me but I need to find out...
  12. Hello All, I just had to report something to all of you. I have been gluten free for about 72 hours now. My bloatedness is gone My terrible joint aches and pain are 100% gone My energy level has sky rocketed and , the best part is that I lost 5lbs in 72 hours. And, it wasn't because I have eaten a lot less either. I am so grateful that I have begun...
  13. I just want to thank you so much for sharing that information with me regarding cancer and the lab that you suggested. I have heard through the grape vein today that there is a doctor in my town that is good with Celiac diagnoses. So, I might try there first. If I get laughed out of the office then I will go to the lab that you suggested. Thank you a...
  14. Wow, you all have given me a lot to think about. And, from another section of this forum I did find a good doctor in my area (a doctor at Penn Radnor near Philadelphia) that I could go to. One last question if you don't mind. Is there a good on-line list of non-gluten foods ? What do you use to guide your eating? Thank so much for all of your support...
  15. I have to admit that I am getting a bit confused now. I do not have the symptoms that would suggest regular Celiac Disease. The symptoms this magazine article mentioned under the title of Silen Celiac Disease are: Low blood iron/anemia weight gain brain fog/memory problems blue moods/irritability decreased ability to handle stress tooth enamel stains...
  16. [i have not heard of SCD before. Some people have celiacs without the outward symptoms. But it was my understanding they still needed to adhere as stricktly to the diet.
  17. Hello, I am new and confussed. I hope you won't mind helping me. Over the weekend, I read an article in a magazine called "First For Woman" about Silent Celiac Disease (SCD) which is not as awful as Celiac Disease but has its own set of issues. When I read the article's description of the symptoms it completely described what I was going through. So...
