We live in east Sarasota and can recommend a few places. Outback, Chili's, & Chickfilet have a gluten-free menu and all are in Venice and Sarasota. As for shopping Downtown Sarasota has a Whole Foods store which has lots of gluten free items from cereals to breads and cookies. Let me know if I can help any further. Heather
