  1. Are you lactose intolerant? The melatonin brand I just got from my pharmacy contains lactose, maybe yours does too.

  3. No problem man. While on the topic of fructose, everyone has a given threshold when it comes to fructose, and its not uncommon for people with celiac disease to have a somewhat lower than normal threshold. When looking into this topic, be sure that you search for: fructose malabsorption / dietary fructose intolerance and NOT simply just "fructose intolerance" (it's something entirely different). On the sidenote, dates contain a REALLY LARGE ammount of fructose, hope that helps
  4. Recently I have become aware of other factors that might trigger glutening-alike-symptoms. For instance, by ingesting too much fat I will experience D and by overinduldging in carbs I sometime experience brainfog. Naturally this experience has compelled me to avoid such incidents, however, I would like to hear if anyone else have had similiar experiences and if anyone knows of other pitfalls with regards to nutrition. Also, as people affected by celiac disease (or gluten sensitivity/intolerance), are there any special things we should pay attention to? Do we need more protein than other people? More Fiber? Less?

  6. Anyone ever had this experience? I bought some Sublingual B12 from New Beginnings Nutritionals (http://www.nbnus.net/shopexd.asp?id=338), 1-2 hours after taking the recommended dosage I got diarrhea. Thought it might be an odd coincidence, so I tried again the next day (with a smaller dosage), the same thing happened (with a somewhat smaller reaction). I find this sorta odd, seeing as the only ingredients listed are the b12 itself, purified water, citric acid and potassium sorbate. I never had a problem with citric acid and I can't seem to find anything that says potassium sorbate could cause any problems. The label clearly states that the product contains NO yeast, gluten, soy, milk/dairy, corn, sodium, sugar, starch, artificial coloring, preservatives or flavorling. The only thing I could IMAGINE is that it somehow contains eggs, could the b12 itself be extracted from eggs? Please help! Thanks in advance!

  8. Wine (especially made from grapes)g usually contains ridiculus ammounts of fructose, which celiacs sometimes react to. It might be that wine is just above your threshold for fructose (my understanding is that everyone has a threshold for fructose, intolerant or not). Just throwing out an idea
  9. Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but here it goes. So I have the cutest rat ever, everytime I see him I want to pick him up, but every time that notion hits me all I can think of is gluten, it must be everywhere in his fur :\ So I'm wondering does anyone have some experience with rats on a glutenfree diet? What do I replace his food with? Obviously the bread is just replaced with glutenfree-bread, but what about his ratfood, which is the basis of his entire diet?
  10. Well, I don't eat them raw, they're just in the bread i buy, i've been tolerating decent amounts of fructose, my problems started when i started drinking A LOT of juices
