  1. Well, it's been over 3 weeks now and Aidan is still on a regular diet. Bad things are starting to happen! He's excessively gassy, hiccups, losing appetite, on and off diarrhea, huge personality change (not for the good) and my daughter was up most of the night with him because he was crying and seemed to be in pain. Our plan is to get the Enterolab testing...
  2. Have you tried eating bananas? My mother, my husband and myself frequently get horrible cramps in our feet. It's a very simple and easy solution for us. Our motto, "A banana a day keeps the cramps away." I know that bananas have potassium, B6 and vitamin C. I'm not sure which of these helps the cramps but, they've never failed me. Hope this helps...
  3. Hello Lisa. I don't mind doing all the research for my daughter. She was very stressed out about everything and also what mother with a toddler has time to be on the computer! Aidan has been on lactose free milk since this started. The only other dairy that he really eats is yogurt. And the doctor does ask her everytime she sees him if he is on lactose...
  4. Hi Heather! Thanks for the info. Please don't be sorry for being pushy or for the lenghty post! I'm here for all the information I can get. I did know that blood testing isn't a very reliable tool for testing a toddler. I am going to email your post to my daughter. I know she is scared he will get sick again. I never really thought about him getting...
  5. Hi! Very interesting!! I did some reading on the paleolithic diet and potatoes are a big NO! I am addicted to potatoes and always have been. I am going to have to do some serious thinking about this and some more research. I love hearing stories from people that have rid themselves of their autoimmune disease. It gives us all hope that with some hard...
  6. Hi Carters Mom I was shocked when I saw your pictures. My grandson looked exactly like this! Everyone always said he's so healthy looking. They never saw him with his clothes off! When my daughter took him to the ER, the dr. said "A baby won't die from vomiting or not eating". He never even touched him or looked at him unclothed. He made an appt with...
  7. [ All of my relatives, Brothers, Sisters, cousins and an Uncle have seen it disappear unless they eat Gluten which causes a flair up. Mine took a while but after 14 months free mine is completely gone. My Other problems that cleared up are fatigue, headaches, aphthous ulcers, belly aches, acid reflux, and lung problems. PS tell your husband that Budweiser...
  8. Hello AliB! I see we're in the same boat starting our new way of eating. So far, 11 days in, I am very happy with the way things are going except for the psoriasis. It took many years to get this bad so I am willing to try just the celiac diet for a few months and then graduate onto removing other things if I don't start to get better. I have an idea...
  9. Hi ravenwoodglass! I'm happy you have had great success! Hopefully, my husband's RA will too and I can't wait to see some results with my psoriasis. I am currently on Enbrel and it just keeps it manageable enough so that I can still carry on with my life. Thanks for your story, it has made me think, that we are headed in the right direction
  10. One more thing, can the celiac come on slowly. By that I mean, could it take a few weeks or months for symptoms to appear again. Aidan seems to be doing okay after 4 days on a regular diet. Thanks
  11. I have posted earlier in the child forum regarding my grandson Aidan. All the research I did on Coeliac Disease for him has really enlightened me about my families health. In the meantime, my house has gone completely gluten/wheat free. After doing all the research, I decided that my husband, myself and my younger daughter might benefit from the coeliac...
  12. Hello! I have an update on my grandson. Aidan has been gluten/wheat free since I posted. He gained weight and has been healthy. His appetite improved, poop normal, no bloating, etc. The dr. sent him for an ultra sound of his gall bladder and liver and everthing is fine. The doctor says he could have had severe gastritis and the only way to know...
  13. Thanks crittermom! We can use all the info you can give us. My daughter is becoming very teary and overwhelmed with all that is going on with Aidan. She's very scared for Aidan because he is sick all the time. We're going to try and get him in to the doctor tomorrow. This is starting to look like a replay of the first time he was hospitilized. I am going...
  14. Hello. So glad to have found this forum! I am writing this for my daughter who has a 1 year old son. They are in the process of trying to find out what is wrong with him. He has a history of weight loss, vomiting, pale stools, stomach aches and no appetite. He was hospitalized and stopped vomiting as soon as he was taken of wheat. His blood test came...
