  1. I’ve personally never worried about cleaning my oven to avoid gluten, but clearly some celiacs do. I agree that commercial oven cleaners can be toxic, especially to the environment.
  2. Certain viruses like rotavirus, as well as antibiotic use in youth, have been shown it studies to be a possible trigger for celiac disease. Many people have reported that pregnancy triggered it for them, but I’ve not seen studies on this (but studies show that women do have a higher chance of getting it than men). It would not surprise me it there are other t...
  3. Farm Boy is recalling Farm Boy brand Coconut Curry Lentil Soup and Farm Boy brand Leek & Potato Soup from the marketplace due to mispackaging because the former may contain milk and the latter may contain wheat which are not declared on the label. People who have an allergy to milk or wheat, or have celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders should...
  4. I would say switch to gluten-free versions as there hasn’t been actual research done to determine if gluten in lotion could affect super sensitive celiacs, for example some people with DH do report issues with lotions that contain gluten.
  5. @anasss Nobody in this thread has called anyone "ignorant," so please don't say that if it did not happen. Also, the use of all capitals is, in forums and other places on the Internet, generally considered yelling and impolite, and there is no need for that in this forum, or this thread. I know you are trying to help others with what you've learned...
  6. I’m still in this email list and have been so for over 20 years. I would not expect much from it nowadays as I don’t think too many people are on it, or if they are they don’t participate much. I get 1-3 posts a week now.
  7. So first, nobody here has called you ignorant. Second, "What the animal, eats you eat" isn't correct, especially if you are implying that gluten fed animals mean that their meat would not be gluten-free. There is no research to back this up, and again, this would be a very simple thing to test, so if it were true, I, and my board moderators would know about...
  8. I’ve never heard of a pure rice, eggs, salmon or chicken that would contain gluten (no matter what is fed to the animals). Please be careful of the claims you make in a public forum like this, and provide evidence when you make such claims. It would be very easy to test these for gluten and I’ve never heard of any that contain gluten. Likewise products tha...
  9. I doubt it but do let us know how you’re doing! Definitely talk to you doctor if your symptoms persist.
  10. Mission Spinach Gluten-Free Tortillas...so they are like regular flour spinach tortillas.
  11. This is a great idea because they always have hot water on flights. I usually bring my own food on planes.
  12. Of course, if buying it out, we mean gluten-free fried rice, but you can also make it yourself very easily.
  13. Distilled vinegar, no matter the source, is gluten-free. Most distilled vinegar in the USA is made from corn.
  14. If you get that sick when you eat gluten I’m not sure why you’d want to do a gluten challenge.
  15. It may reduce inflammation, but curcumin will not protect you against the side-effects of eating gluten if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. It is not a cure by any stretch.
  16. Is there any way you can share the actual levels in his results? Normally a positive tTG IgG means that gatro follow up should be done to confirm the diagnosis.
  17. There is a link in this article to different gluten free turkeys:
  18. I recommend posting this in our forum, rather than as a comment.
  19. Here are some summaries we’ve done on reflux and celiac disease. Their findings are a bit mixed but it’s worth looking at them: /celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/dyspepsia-acid-reflux-and-celiac-disease/
