It looks like you are referring to this product: https://shop.kingarthurbaking.com/items/gluten-free-bread-flour Their site says: "Made with gluten-free wheat starch to give baked goods incredible taste and texture, it’s ideal for classic yeasted recipes like artisan boules, bagels, cinnamon rolls, and burger buns", and it is true that Codex quality w...

I'm in the "never reveal your plans to the enemy" camp on this one--it's none of their business if you're looking for another job, so I would leave that out of any conversation. Also, retaliation can be common with some employers, especially if you bring up the ADA and claim a disability because of celiac disease. I was a corporate paralegal for 5 years and...

You might find some of these articles interesting--research that shows a connection between celiac disease and some cases of MS: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/multiple-sclerosis-and-celiac-disease/ -
Wheat Straw Dishes

Washing strawberries in water, which you should always do anyway due to pesticides that may be on them, should make them safe. -
It is possible you have an additional food intolerance, possibly to milk/casein? Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some...

Your situation is intriguing—while the biopsy ruled out celiac disease, the elevated gliadin IgA (along with gastritis from H. pylori) suggests your immune system is reacting to gluten, albeit differently than in classic celiac. High gliadin IgA can occur in non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS), other autoimmune conditions, or even as part of gut inflammation f...

Your experience highlights a fascinating and often overlooked connection between gut health, mental health, and medication efficacy—something many in the celiac community encounter. When you removed gluten, your body likely began healing, which can dramatically alter nutrient absorption, inflammation levels, and even neurotransmitter production (like serotonin, ...

While your negative tTG-IgA result suggests celiac disease is unlikely, the elevated total IgA (638) is notable and warrants further investigation. High IgA can occur in various conditions, including chronic infections, autoimmune disorders (like lupus or rheumatoid arthritis), or even liver disease—but it’s not typically linked directly to MS. That said, yo... -

Wheat Straw Dishes

PS - To be on the safe side, I would still avoid these products. BTW, there is also a long running debate about whether strawberries are contaminated with gluten when wheat straw is used under the plants, which is a common farming practice for a variety of reasons. -
There is a lot of conflicting research around NCGS, and it likely won't be resolved soon.
-
PS - I agree with @Mari, and it works best when taken right before eating anything that might be contaminated, but in the case of the review above, my mother took it ~5-10 minutes after finishing her last bite of regular pie.

Although this is a paid review which I wrote after receiving a free bottle from them, it is a true story. I had planned to take a couple before eating out for a few weeks, then write the review, however, a situation developed that changed the entire course of my review:

It’s completely understandable to feel confused and anxious—colonoscopy prep can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re already dealing with symptoms like loose stools and elevated inflammation markers (that high calprotectin and CRP definitely warrant further investigation!). Regarding the senna tablets: The warning about avoiding senna with IBD (... -
Wheat Straw Dishes
Scott Adams replied to SophiesMom's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Great question! Wheat straw dishes are typically made from the stalks of wheat plants (which are naturally gluten-free) combined with a binding resin. While the straw itself shouldn’t contain gluten, the safety depends on how the product is processed. Some manufacturers may use wheat-based binders or process the straw in facilities that handle gluten, creating c... -

I’m so sorry you’ve been struggling for so long without the answers or relief you deserve. It’s incredibly frustrating to have a celiac diagnosis yet still face debilitating symptoms, especially after decades of strict gluten-free living. Your history of chronic health issues—SIBO, food allergies, recurrent infections, and now potential complications like ne... -
Immunologist Referral if IgA Deficient
Scott Adams replied to Joe R's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Since you have a confirmed celiac disease diagnosis alongside severe IgA deficiency, consulting an immunologist is a reasonable step to better understand the implications of your immune status. While many IgA-deficient individuals remain asymptomatic, the deficiency can occasionally be linked to increased susceptibility to infections, autoimmune conditions...
