  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thank you.... those sound like some good ideas. Starting to feel like there are more options. Keep em coming if you think of more.
  3. We live in Gig Harbor WA.... just across the bridge from Tacoma. We are looking for restaurant ideas for Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Bremerton, or surrounding areas. We know about Outback, PF changs in Seattle and the Old Spaghetti Factory.... but would love some more ideas. Of course we would be thrilled if a there was a pizza joint with gluten...
  4. Went there last week.... the lettuce wraps were awesome..... I had the gluten free spicy chicken.... very good.... I will definitely go back.
  5. I am only two weeks into being gluten free, but I can tell you the sloshing stomach and loud bubbling stomach was a huge symptom of mine... happened nearly every day. I am a long distance cycler and tennis player, so I feel your pain. For me, my new favorite is Quinoa pasta..... I like it better than regular pasta. Gotta have that fuel for the long rides...
  6. My daughter and I are both new to this too.... In my work, I have to have a lot of business lunches, I have had to have three since I found out.... I was too chicken the first week. I have taken to calling restaurants and asking if they have gluten free menus and also pulling them up online...... I have been suprised at how many restaurants are accomodating...
  7. Almost two weeks gluten free now... I feel less spacey today.... definitely getting better, now it is just spells of it here and there, but obviously getting better. Thank goodness....
  8. Takala, thanks for your comments..... you do bring up a good point. It might be wise to have a blood test while there are still antibodies for "official purposes" if you will. I think I have to consider it, even though I already know what the result will be. My GP will probably act like I am nuts to ask for the test.... but of course, he is the one who...
  9. Thanks Marian..... I get the neck thing some times too, so I know what you mean, so I will try that. As far as the supplements go, I have always taken supplemental vitamins for sports etc. I did not add anything I have not taken before, just shifted a little. I will go back to the normal amounts to see, but I dont think that is it..... Another day and...
  10. Another question from a newbie here. It has been about a week and a half now since my daughter and I went gluten free. We both went on a regiment of supplements as recommended as well. We both have adjusted pretty easily and are feeling great. My only side effect has been that I feel a little spacey sometimes during the day. It was especially bad the...
  11. Thank you to the people who offered some wisdom and advice.... it is much appreciated. It is sooo nice to know there is a group like this. The more I think about it, the less likely I feel like I need to be tested.... The changes are too monumental..... besides my daughter obviously inherited gluten intolerance from me anyway. We have always been label...
  12. O.K., a little over a week ago, my wife and I found out that our 6 year old daughter tested positive for a gluten intolerance and probably Celiac and that this may be the cause for her shorter stature. We chose to not have a biopsy and put her on a gluten free diet... so time will tell I guess right now. We are a little confused about the voracity of the...
