  1. I live in Ferndale and was also recently diagnosed (Feb 11). My sister lives in Howell and she mentioned that the V.G.'s in Howell have good gluten-free selections and there's a place called vitamin planet on Latson & Grand River that has several gluten-free foods. She mentioned brown-rice tortillas that I can't wait to try! The owner/manager there...
  2. Symptoms like this are actually what led to my celiac diagnosis. My iron levels were also VERY low as well as my b12. I tried supplements for a month and when my blood work showed no improvement my doctor set me up with weekly infusions of iron (5 weeks - just finished Friday!) and weekly b12 shots. I seriously recommend you talk to your doctor about this...
  3. I'm a little older at 28 but I'm also newly diagnosed (on Feb 11th). This site really seems to have a lot of great information and so many people to support us both as we figure it all out. Good luck!
  4. I was just diagnosed with celiac about 10 days ago so I'm new to this gluten free lifestyle too. I can say though the fatigue was actually my biggest symptom. I found out through a lot of testing that I have both an iron deficiency and a B12 deficiency along with the celiac, neither of which can be helped with supplements since my insides are so damaged...
