  1. lol I know that I'm young, I just felt like venting about it... It's not that I think if I don't get married and start cranking out kids immediately that that's bad, it was just something to b!tch about... Change is hard for me, and now I guess my life all of a sudden has to be planned out completely differently than the way it was a month ago... And I don...
  2. Hi all! I'm relatively new to these boards, I used to post a bit on the prediagnosis board, but haven't on this one yet. And now on to my pity party: sorry if this is long and boring, I think I just need to vent. And if you're bored too, it might be some mildly interesting reading... I was diagnosed Celiac and Crohn's on the same day, the day I got...
  3. Hi! I am new to this whole gluten-free thing too, but I did find something you were talking about... The Gluten Free Market you mentioned I found on this website Open Original Shared Link and it says it's in Fairlawn (not super close to Nutley but doable). I am in Essex County too, by the way, about 5 minutes from Willowbrook Mall. That list of gluten...
  4. Thanks! I'll be sure to go check out those articles!
  5. Thank you so much, I only posted a duplicate post because I thought the first one just vanished! Silly me... Thanks again!
  6. I also tried to post a topic in the Pre-diagnosis board, and it hasn't been pinned (first attempt was about a week ago, second attempt a few days ago). Is it a missed post, or did I do something wrong? (It was a question about endoscopy & colonoscopy results). Thanks!
  7. My son is 3 and will be tested for celiac disease next week, and they are doing his 4-year-old bloodwork at the same time (CBC, etc) which he has to fast for, and I was assured the fasting wouldn't affect his antibody test. Hope that helps!
  8. First, if this posts twice I apologize, I tried to post this a few days ago but it's not showing up. So, here's my questions: Hi, some of you may remember me, I posted a few weeks ago about all of my symptoms, and my negative blood tests. I have recently realized that the blood work for celiac was done at some little random run-of-the-mill lab that...
  9. Thanks so much! Yeah, I have decided to go gluten free for both of us. Now I'm off to find just how I should go about doing that... Luckily though I'm in New Jersey, right outside of Manhattan, so there are Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and a million other specialty food stores on every corner. Thanks to all for the advice, I appreciate it! I wish I would...
  10. Thanks! I think I've decided to just go gluten free for both of us. Should be interesting to see his reaction... Unless this doctor will do the endoscopy within the next week I think I'm just going to skip that as well and go on the diet as soon as possible. And by the way- I thought those were your kids in your avatar, not your grandkids!!!
  11. Thanks for your quick reply! I am debating actually getting the endoscopy if the Gastro recommends it at my visit. The only reason I would want a concrete diagnosis is because I think I've read there is higher risk of other issues (can't remember what at the moment) for those who have celiac disease, and I would want everything monitored. As far as my...
  12. Hi all, new here and I just had a few questions, if anyone can help me. I have been having issues that have been steadily progressing since I had my son (3 years ago). I began to notice them about a year after he was born. (Sorry if this is going to be graphic, I just can't take it anymore...) I have been having bad digestion issues, like diarrhea at least...
