  1. Hi Lm. You know I just checked some of my old posts. You welcomed me and then kinda insulted me. I am sorry you don't know if I am a guy or a girl, but I am not so techinically savy. I don' t even know how to "put anything in my profile?" oh and PS your posts are a little negative
  2. Hi SHelly, Looking at my old posts and I saw this one. I have been off the board for awhile now. LIving Gluten Free and feeling so good that I almost thougth I didn't have an intolerance problem. Little did I know by cheating how sick I would get again. Anyways, how are you doing? Did your tests ever come back gluten intolerant?
  3. Hi Robin...And, I thank everyone else that responded to my post...I wrote it last week when I was feeling really low. I notice that my moods change depending on my diet. I know how you feel with the doctors too. I have been fighting for so long, and they just tell me it is IBS and stress related. And, I tell them hey look...I don't know what it is but if...
  4. Hi Shelly. Good luck on your tests. I am also in a limbo state. I have been going to doctors for my problems for three years, now. I have been gluten free since some time last year when I had the startling revelation that I seemed sicker after eating pizzas, breads, etc., I didn't know exactly what was wrong with me, but I knew it was something caused...
  5. As far as cross contamination at home there are many tips on this website. Personally, if something with gluten "touches" my stuff I consider it contaminated. If I am cooking a gluten free dish and a non-gluten free dish I can't use the same spoon in both. I have to use two different sets of utensils. Dishes, cups, silverware should be washed in hot soapy...
  6. Thank you. I get so frustrated fighting with the doctors. And this website does have so much valuable information.
  7. I posted a question and a response or two...but, I never really introduced myself. Looking back, I guess I have been a celiac for three years. My symptoms started after I had my fourth surgery. I have seen multiple doctors and have done hours and hours of research trying to find out what was wrong with me. My recent bloodwork just came back negative for...
  8. Is going to a restaurant ever successful? Does anyone have any suggestions? There are no gluten free restaurants where I live and I try to eat foods in which I know the CC is limited...but last night I had a steak, and today I feel so yucky and LARGE? Any tips?
  9. I wish I could bike that far and then run that far. I get it...there are days when I am so angry and frustrated that I could cry just thinking about it. At first I felt so down and low because everytime I had to tell someone I couldn't eat something they would look at me and say the same thing. "Oh you can't eat anything with gluten....Oh you poor thing....
  10. Hi. My bloating was really bad. People thought I was pregnant. It was embarrasing to go out to a bar and drink! I agree with Tom, check your dairy intake. At first I couldn't handle lactose and now I can in small doses. Check everything that is going into your body...meds, food and drinks. Some people recommend to go with natural non-processed foods...
  11. The best baking cookbook out there...Rebecca Reiley...I hope I spelled that right. Her recipes rival that of anything that is out there. Breads rise...and taste fabulous. She has cookie, cake and pie crust recipes. I can't praise her enough.
  12. I am new to this website and not sure I am even navigating it right. However, I can say this...I have done so much research on stomach issues and hands down--the research all points to a gluten free diet. When I first switched to gluten free, I thought it was the end of the world. (I love pasta and pizza). Let me tell you it is not. There are so many substitutions...
