    Hi Everyone, Our family is fairly new to celiac, although I've posted here before. 1.) Is normal 1% milk from the grocery store (specifically Great Value brand from Wal-mart) gluten free? Or, would another brand of normal milk be gluten-free? Or, does my celiac daughter need to switch to something like rice milk, soy milk, goat milk, etc.? 2.) Daughter...

    I'm the mom of the 22 year old daughter recently diagnosed with celiac. The strange part of this is that she had an endoscopy done for other reasons (low lung function & GERD); the doc saw her messed up villi, & then she had the blood work done which was positive. So, for gluten-free meats, should the package say, under Ingredients, just the meat that I'm buying, or would there be anything else after the meat listed, such as 'organic', or 'grass fed'? Would there be some way of identifying it as gluten-free on the front of the package? I usually shop at Wal-mart. I'm just wondering...

    Just this morning I was at a Signature Kroger (huge store) & found the best gluten-free section! I found the Blue Diamond Natural Almond Nut-Thins Cheddar Cheese crackers, brought 'em home, & my newly-diagnosed celiac daughter tried them & really likes them! Hope this helps.

    Hi Everyone, I'm fairly new here; my daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac. So I/we are learning a lot. My question is about meat(s). This morning I went to my favorite store, Wal-mart, for groceries, incl. meat. My understanding is that natural flavoring is on the list of forbidden items.
