About Me

Mommy to a 1 year old boy and a 2 1/2 year old boy. I am also a reading specialist at the elementary school level.

  1. Thank you, yes he is on dairy so I will get him tested and also eliminate it for a little to see if that could be the issue. Thanks for the suggestion I truly appreciate it.
  2. My 3 year old was tested negative for celiac even though his 4 yr old brother has it and I think I do (my blood test was positive, endo. negative) I don't beleive the test results for him so he's been gluten free for months now. However he still has sketchy sympotms: very underweight he weighs 29 lbs but tall and u can see his ribs, very moody although hes...
  3. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  4. From experience with 2 kids exactly the same age as yours I gave my baby (now almost 8 months) gluten at 4 1/2 months old and continue to give it to him while breasfeeding too. I did hear about that window and my pediatriacian also mentioned to give gluten while still breasfeeding so I would give gluten to the 6 month old now while you are still breasfeeding...
  5. My 2 year old has been gluten free for 5 months and still has some loose stools. I asked his GI doctor a few days ago and she said its perfectly normal in toddlers. Hes thriving so she was not concerned. He gores for repeat bloodwork in a few days so Ill see then but He seems to be fine, never complains and I know hes not eating gluten since we are almost...
  6. My 2 year old has celiac and although some of my blood came back positive some came back negative as well as the biopsy. I consider myself to have Celiac too. My hisband doesnt have it and we're not sure if my 6 onth old has it. We are about 90% gluten free. My husband still has bread, cereal and beef jerky, lol. Occasionally he'll bring in a dessert...
  7. Thank you I feel better.
  8. Wow lots of information, i will defintely look into the SSD diet and will take him back to his GI doctor to discuss it. Thanks for the info.
  9. My son is 2 and has been gluten free since the end of August. He's doing great thank God. No symptoms and more whatsoever and he had them all and I mean all. I notice however at least 2 or 3 times a week his stool is very soft in consistency and has many undigested food in it. Sorry so much info but for example just now he had a lot of peppers and onions...
  10. thank u, im going to do some shopping later tonight
  11. I am an avid baker and am getting tired of spending so much $ at the health food store for the different flours. I have only been baking gluten free for 3 months and find I use rice flours and tapioca flours a lot. Are there any other staples I should order in bulk? I was also thinking of going to either Amazon or Bobs Red mIll and ordereing, is that good...
  12. My 2 year old and I were just diagnosed and I wanted to start buying flour online in bulk since I am an avid baker and he loves his baked goods. What flours do you suggest I get, the staples? And where should I buy them? Amazon, Bobs' Red Mill? Any suggestions would be great.
  13. Thank you, I am going to go gluten free. If my son can do it so can I
  14. we had a party this weekend and my 2 year old got glutened. the only thing we can think of were the balloons that he was suckking on. COuld that be it? Also are stickers and band aids a no no too?
  15. My 2 year old has been gluten free for 3 months. Everthing is going well except he occasionally gets glutened, I know this because his stool is very loose and turns light in color. It is only 1 stool for 1 day and then he goes back to normal. I am thinking it happens becuase he still puts everything in his mouth, especially his hands. I am just trying...
