  1. In a sad way...after reading all these post, I feel a little better knowing I am not alone. I am beyond exhausted and I just need relief! I did have my adrenals tested and they are messed up. My cortisol levels sky rocket at night, hence, not sleeping well. I took supplements recommended by my ND for two weeks and felt no better. In fact, I felt worse...
  2. Happy to report...my 2 year old son has been Gluten Free and Seizure free since. We are thankful and prayerful that this is the answer and will continue with the Gluten Free diet. As hard as it may seem, it is worth it. Maybe some day we will have a totally gluten free family, which would make my life easier!!! For now...mom and baby are staying "Gluten...
  3. Hello. I am curious if you know the corrilation between your Heart condition and the low iron stores as well as the Tyroid. I have Celiac and was dignoised about a year ago. Last week I ended up in the ER with "Heart Attack" type symptoms. The intial test indicated "Possible Blockage" They performed an Angiogram and it came back 100% clear. I am still...
  4. Thank you...we did see a doctor today who wants to do more testing. He agreed that if he does better of the gluten then just take him off. The first doctor I have met that actually agreed that the testing is not correct most of the time. I greatly appreciate all the feeback. I will only give him the med's if necessary.
  5. Thank you for sharing. I know that I am going to really push the doctors for more test. The ER doctor told us that he was to young for DNA testing for Celiac, which at the time I really didn't have the energy to dispute. However, I know that it is incorrect. I was told by my Celiac doctor all my children need to be tested. We do not have insurance right...
  6. Thank you! That is exactly what my son has been having for about six months. Unexplained fevers. This one however had the sudden spike to 104.6 and that is what they told us at the ER caused the seizure. However, when I brought up my concern about the celiac disease, the doctor said it was unrelated. Thank you... Tammy P.S. I think it scared 20 years...
  7. My two year old son had a "Febrile Seizure" a few days ago. We believe he has celiac disease, but has not been medically tested. My sister and I both have the disease and he has many symptoms. I heard that children with Celiac can have seizures. They are attibuting his to a fever, however, they can not explain where it came from. They performed CT scan...
  8. Do you have a particular brand of supplements you recommend? I use to work in the supplement industry and I know there are a lot of products that are not very good. Thank you so much for your help.
  9. Does anyone have any recommendations for pain in arms and legs. I have tried a few supplements, they did not seem to help. It is almost like my skin hurts to be touched and they have an acheing sensation that makes it near impossible to grip things or sometimes walk properly. I have only been on the diet for eight months, and have just had an accidental...
  10. I have been attempting to eat a gluten free diet for the past eight months. I learn more and more and realize, it has not been 100%, but I am working on it. My questions is: Has anyone else experience problems with weight gain or extreme difficulty losing weight? Most people I read about lose weight, which at different times in my life, I did lose extreme...
  11. Thank you for your input. I guess I thought that because I have children I should be tested to confirm I have it. I pretty much know that I do. I have all the symptoms, from the stomach issues to the skin issues as well as neurological issues. At what point should I test my children? Or should I? I read that some people do not have the outward signs...
  12. It was recommend that I stop eating wheat and gluten by my accupucture doctor about 8 months ago. I had stomach problems my entire life, but never equated it to wheat or gluten. I changed my diet and felt amazingly better in a few weeks. I was told that I should be tested for Celiac. My regular doctor did one blood test, not sure what it was, but I had...
