  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. My 22 month old son is having allergy testing done tomorrow. His paediatrician got him in to see a paediatric allergist, so I'm hoping and assuming that allergy testing is accurate!
  3. My ds has never been exposed to nuts before, so I'm wondering if it would be ok to try him on almond milk. When are you supposed to introduce nuts?
  4. Oh, ok, good to know. Thank you.
  5. Just wondering why I should avoid Rice Dream?
  6. My DS is allergic to tropical fruits and I'm not sure if coconuts would be a problem...so should I avoid the coconut milk?
  7. My DS has been dairy free almost since birth and he is currently drinking soy milk in his bottles and cereal. I'm wondering if he may be soy intolerant so I'd like to cut it out of his diet for a bit to see if I notice a change...but what are the other options for bottles? Is Rice Milk the only other option?
  8. I noticed a HUGE change is my DS's willingness to eat within a few days and he had his first almost solid stool this past week (2.5 weeks into the gluten free diet). He's still having loose stools but I think it's getting better. After reading a lot of posts from other parents, I'm seeing that it can take awhile to notice a complete change. Hopefully you...
  9. My DS was like your DS...not eating anything but living on fluids. He has only been gluten free for 2 weeks but he's already willing to try new foods and he's eating more. He used to live on grapes, crackers, soy milk and apple juice...since going gluten free, he's now trying so many more foods and eating so much more! Not sure about the runny nose stuff...
  10. Hi there. I am new to this forum as well and I also live just outside the GTA. Your son sounds EXACTLY like mine!! He has been on a gluten free diet for almost 2 weeks now and he had his first 'almost solid' stool for the first time ever yesterday!! Weird how we get so excited over the little things. My son will be 2 in Dec and he also hasn't gained any...
  11. Thank you so much for that list. I totally agree that he shouldn't be eating out but his father won't listen to me, so he feeds him awful foods and brings him home and for the next few days I have to deal with all the side effects and symptoms he suffers from. Not fun!! I'm working on getting a lawyer and dealing with the father...but for now, I'd like to...
  12. I'm totally new to all of this and am so thankful to have found a site that deals with children and celiac. My 21 month old son has had gastro problems since birth and one of his doctors mentioned 2 weeks ago that he may have celiac disease. We're waiting on blood test results to confirm. I've eliminated gluten from his diet (and he's doing so much better...
