I just got an email from Barr Laboratories, they manufacture a loestrin pill called Portia (generic for Nordette 28) They said it is gluten-free. It's also what I currently use. Good Luck

All of our hair conditioners have a form of wheat germ in them, and while all of our other products are free of it, they are all made in the same plant.
